Wearing the same dress again?

I have an event to go to and wonder about the etiquette of wearing the same dress that I wore 3 months ago. Some of the guests will be the same.
DH's work, his staff and partners.
I'm older and frumpier than most of them.
It's a dark, lace shift btw, nothing showy.

Could you remember what someone was wearing at last event? Can you remember what you wore last Thursday? It would be fine to wear again IMO.

Presumably your DH will be wearing the same suit that he wore 3 months ago? Can you remember what any of the other guests wore 3 months ago? Do you really think they will remember what you wore?
Wear the dress, with different accessories if you really want to. No-one will notice, embrace being old and frumpy! And even if someone does notice so what, even the queen wears things more than once.

If the dress was an over the top shocking pink number I might say no, but as it's a dark dress like most people wear them I doubt if anyone would remember so yes, wear it!

Being middle aged has thrown my confidence, a few years ago it would've been the shocking pink one.

Wear the dress. Buy a new lipstick/earrings/nail polish. Smile.

Buy a shocking pink or electric blue bag and/or shoes. Or a knockout bag and/or pair of shoes. Nobody will notice the dress!

I find as I get older that I have to be a bit more careful with dresses but really go to town on the bag & shoes. The younger, trendier and more expensive the better 🙂

I'm wearing up but have ordered some ridiculous gold heels to make me feel more jaunty.
