Best eyecream for fine lines & tired eyes?

Everybody is telling me I should wear an eyecream & not put my normal moisturiser around my eyes - but I have no idea where to start! I wear contacts & have dry dehydrated skin. My eyes look tired & I tend to have fine lines & dark circles. Can anybody point me in the right direction please? I usually wear Decleor or Clarins moisturisers.

For dark under eye circles there is a caffeine product by The Ordinary.

Spendy or not so spendy? Grin

I can't believe otherwise sensible people waste their money on such muck. Its all a con. Do you seriously believe it makes any difference at all, or that you need anything on your eyes!

I have been happily using eye creams for years, as normal moisturiser tends to contain ingredients that make my eyes sting... as a PP said, those with caffeine are good for dark circles... I also like the Eucerin one which is more for plumping out fine lines... I'm sure you'll get lots of good suggestions OP, do try before you buy though :)

I've managed 40 years without one apart from ones that came in gift sets etc but I've had my make up done for weddings in the past few months and both times the makeup artists reprimanded me for not using one. My 'fine' lines are definitely getting more noticeable & I reckon the black circles are probably my own fault- staying up later once the boys have gone to bed. My sister was horrified when I said I just use my moisturiser all over my face including my eye area. Ideally i'd like to not spend a huge amount but equally I don't want to waste money on cheaper products if they don't work....

Some creams are too rich for round the eyes. Avon do a two part eye cream that gets good reviews. often on special offer.
