Spot on my face for 6 months

Please help. Around 6 months ago I started getting lots of spots at the age of 61 and I had always had really good skin. I have the small white squeezable ones every day and get the massive huge red angry ones maybe once or twice a week. I went to the doctor and he told me I have acne and it can come at any time in life and gave me Zineryt which helps a bit. However I have had a spot under my bottom lip for months! I can't squeeze it out but there is a lump and a red mark on my face. Any ideas for killing it please? All the others seem to go eventually.

Go back to the GP and ask for a referral to a dermatologist re the stubborn spot.

It may be something like a cyst....I know the pain of skin troubles later in life! I'm 45 and after having beautiful skin all my youth, it's now red and patchy thanks to a rare skin condition.

Sorry you're having such trouble.

Thanks for your concern it's really upsetting when I've always had such good skin. I will go back to the doctor as I can't stand looking in the mirror now.

Try Neutrogena Spot Stress Control Daily Scrub. It's worked for me, after years of suffering from spots, all my spots were gone within the first week of using it. I've posted about it on here several times. It might work for you.

I've put that on my shopping list now thanks

It could be a cyst. I have one on my face and the gp said I could have it cut out. Go back to your gp and get it checked

Hope it does the trick. I heard a dermatological nurse on the radio recommend it. The presenter asked her what reasonably priced High St product she'd recommend and she said that was a very good one. Apparently salycilic is the most important ingredient to prevent spots and it's in that neutrogena face wash.

Good luck.

Definitely get it checked out by the dr. I had a spot on my Chet that didn't go for years. It turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma, that needed to be removed. All is fine now, and hopefully yours is not that, but you need to get it checked.
