What do you wear? Where do you shop?

After two children I'm a completely different size and shape (pear!) and in a complete rut. I've got a lot on at work, am in the process of buying a new house (stressful!) and with two children under 3, I just don't have the energy for shopping. I just want to find a couple of nice outfits that I can buy in various colours and then getting dressed will be one less thing to think about!

Can anyone inspire me?

Bumping with interest :)

I'm a 12-14 I live in skinny jeans and blouses/shirts usually with ankle boots/ballets flats and satchel style bags.
Most of my wardrobe is Next, Warehouse with some cheaper bits from primary new look.
If I'm going out Cami top with kimono jacket or Bardot top black skinny jeans and heels.
Got a couple of nice wrap dresses/kimono sleeve dresses from closet and asos

I'm not the most stylish person in the world but I buy from Cos, jigsaw, and uniqlo for most of my wardrobe.
Other bits come from m&s, gap, jaeger, and tk maxx. I find my best "capsule" stuff comes from jigsaw - but they aren't the cheapest. However I buy 2 or 3 key pieces and then buy cheaper basics to go with them. This week I bought a patterned skirt, red jumper and black crepey top. They all go with each other - but I can wear with other stuff I own. Red jumper looks great with jeans or black trousers.
Good knitwear and jersey tops from uniqlo, as a size 14 I'm generally in their L size.
I love dresses - tights in winter, shaved legs in summer and I'm good to go 😊, and 1 item and your done.
I buy what I feel good in as no one else really cares what I wear, so I might as well care!!

I like Banana Republic, especially for work clothes, though you can only buy online now.
I also get bits from Whistles, Boden, Cos, M&S, Hobbs.
I find I buy less as I get older but tend to spend a bit more on each item. I don't buy anything particularly 'fashionable' - lots of block colours and cuts that suit and ( hopefully) flatter.

I'm 38 and a 14, I am tall though, I wear skinny jeans and fitted t shirts with long cardys, or skater dresses and short cardys, I wear a lot of ankle boots and knee high boots.
My favorite look is a bit 60s, so I'm all for shortish dresses and block heel suede boots. At home I sling on leggings and vest with my dressing gown! 😂

I shop in Oasis but at the moment am lovely no Sainsburys Skinny jeans and noticed some lovely jumpers today! My favorite look ever is a roll neck under a dress!

differenteverytime · 12/09/2017 20:54

I'm early 40s and a large 14. Skinny jeans and shirts mostly, so also hoping for inspiration here Blush

BusterGonad · 12/09/2017 21:36

The first photo is an outfit that I just love and the second one is of a coat I own but I wear mine with either skinny jeans and ankle/knee high boots or a little skater dress and tights with either boots. It's so bright and I just love it, many people don't thought! 😂

I'm a young 40 and my go to is House of Fraser. I usually find nice things in the sale as I don't have a huge budget. I prefer buying better quality these days.
Oasis Cherry skinny jeans, blouses, Bretons, blazers, for smart casual; black skinnies, trench and loafers for work; harem pants and vests for mooching.

BusterGonad · 12/09/2017 22:08

Make up is also very important to me, at the moment I'm loving a browny pink smiley eyed look with brown eyeliner and big lashes (real, not horrible fakes) and a soft powder pink blusher with either a soft Matt pink lipstick or a fuchsia bright pink.
I'd love to have short polished nails too but I just can't seem to dedicate a hour to do them!
My hair is just past my shoulders and a thick wavy long bob look which I dye a dark red. I'm bored of it tbh but can't find the time to get it revamped at the moment, I like the colour but it needs a fringe or something!

BusterGonad · 12/09/2017 22:09

Smiley! Smokey!!!

Tall pear here, 12 top 14 bottom, early 40s. Tend to wear slim/straight jeans with tshirt and blazer, chunky ankle boots or Converse or ballet pumps. I buy merino or cashmere jumpers from TKMaxx for colder months...like now! I love slouchy trousers and am looking for a dark grey pair to wear with trainers and a fitted top, a polo neck maybe.

I like a shirt too, TKMaxx have some lovely fitted shirts wigh subtle patterns which are great with jeans or for work with wide legged trousers and brogues, or slim ankle grazers.

Lotsofsausage · 12/09/2017 23:15

Uniqlo easy care ankle trousers. skinny jeans. H&M t shirts and breton tops. sack dresses from cos. batwing tops to balance out the hips.
