Help me find some size 7 black school shoes for my 9yr DD

Literally, aside from unsupportive and fake leather ballet pumps, I can't find black, quality school shoes for my daughter. She's just turned 9 and is in a size 7, so I know my choices are limited but still.

Do you mean an adult size 7?
How about Clarks? They might have a 20% discount code you can use

Or start rite has plenty of styles in a size 7

Dd got lace up brogues from schuh

GrockleBocs · 12/09/2017 14:30

Clarks do a Mary Jane style adult shoe (Sillian Bella) that looks like some of their school shoes. Dd has similarly outsize feet and they work well for her.

Girls round here seem to be big on black t-bar kickers shoes. Leather, think black soles and good selection of sizes.

Fekko · 12/09/2017 17:58

Is that an adult size then? Will she wear brogue type shoes? Amazon are pretty good for sales if you are ok to return them if they don't fit too comfortably.

www.schuh.co.uk/womens/schuh-house-party-black-flat-shoes/1339137020/ these are dds shoes. Apparently very comfy and no blisters

My daughter had size 7 brogues from M&S last year and this year has Clarks brogues but not Hamble oaks as the fitting in them didn't suit her feet.

PerspicaciaTick · 12/09/2017 18:06

Start-rite go up to an 8.
Some M&S school shoes go up to an 8 (and I'm sure I saw a 9 one year).
This year DD is wearing adult DM loafers. Last year she wore Clarks' ladies brogues which fell apart in a term.

blodynmawr · 12/09/2017 18:16

My DDhas Clarks Hamble Oaks but needed a 7 instead of a 6 due to the width, so if your DD is measuring 7 she may need an 8.

Clarks brogues , all the girls in year 8/9 wear them at my dd school. They come in size 7

Tantpoke · 12/09/2017 23:30

My DD 10 switches between Clarks patent pumps and Nike air max

Tantpoke · 12/09/2017 23:31

She has worn clarks brogues for the last couple of years but has gone off them.

My parents put me in the shoe-style Doc Martens when my feet stopped growing at size 7. I still have the pair in good condition and they lasted 6 years of schooling

Chicinwellies · 26/09/2017 22:50

Thank you so much everyone, much appreciated.
Used the clarks 20% and an 8F was a perfect fit. Now she just needs to stop growing ! I’m only a size 5, and she was a 6 by the age of 7. All comments jotted down!
