Leather Jackets - come talk to me!

Working on the basis that I'm not too old for a leather jacket ... tell me how you style yours. I have fallen in love with one and am trying to figure out whether I'll get the wear out of it and how I should wear it before I buy. Thanks!

Usually a 3/4 sleeve top, skinny jeans and Dr Martens or similar boots. Sometimes in very cold weather I'll wear the same with a jumper. It also looks good with a thick jumper dress and boots.

Can you post a pic? I started a thread earlier about All Saints leather jackets as I'm very tempted by a few of them (they're extortionate though!) And the thread got ignored sadly . I'm 41 and love a biker. I tend to also wear with skinny or slim jeans (I'm not a skirt/dress wearer but I do think they look good with them too). I would wear with looser tops or t-shirts in plain colours.

I've got a couple of massimo dutti leather jackets and love them. I tend to wear them with chinos, flats, white tshirt and scarf of some kind.

They look good with dresses, jeans, skirts. Very versatile. Love them! (Have four real and one faux).

Had it about 6 years, love it! Wear it all year round and with everything:-

• Skinny jeans, top and high heel ankle boots
• jeans. T shirt, and converse
• jumper dress, tights and boots
• smart dress and shoe boots
• summer dresses and flip flops

Wear it with everything!

Agree you can wear them with pretty much any outfit as long as you look and feel good in it

At the moment I like mine with culottes or harems and gazelle trainers, and for a night out with a full midi skirt and heels

I would say they also look better with age, certain styles anyway. So I think it's worth investing in a decent one if you are able to / want to. Mine was about £300 6 years ago. I will wear it till it dies and then I will be looking at All Saints.

Thanks for replies ... so girls in shop said I can wear with chunky jumpers too and scarves (it has a mandarin collar so needs something around neck on a cold day). Was amazed at how warm it is! TakeMe, your outfit sounds lovely!

Off to look at what All Saints have to offer now!
