Face pampering box for present- what should I get?

For Xmas I've booked my mum a facial (she's always wanted one). To go with this I want to get her a box of face pampering stuff with the appointment card in a little envelope in the middle.

My question is, what else can I put in this face pampering box? My mum's 60 and can have sensitive skin. I don't want to spend more than about £50 and I'd like to get quite a few bits and pieces.

I was going to get some No. 7 Protect and Perfect serum, some of the 99p packets of face packs but what else could I get?

It doesn't have to be super-special but something a bit pamper-y which, if possible, does something (or at least claims to do something). Any ideas really really welcome, thanks

I did a box like this last year for my DM (70 this year) and she also has sensitive skin. I got her a mix of No 7 products, Olay, and Avon. Never had any complaints that they irritated her.

I got some night cream, eye cream, serum and a really nice flannel and face wash. And I also got her Avon Naturals shower gel and body lotion too..She's still got some left actually!

stewpots Oooh, yeah I could get some nice body stuff as well. I'd only thought about face stuff.
Thanks for that!!

Marks advent calendar?

herecomesthsun · 11/09/2017 13:27

if she has sensitive skin it might be possible to swap some bits out?

TonySoppyrano · 11/09/2017 13:43

Sorry I should've said, I won't be giving her the present until her visit after Xmas so advent calendar is out.

A nice towelling type headband? Bamboo cloths to take off cleanser.

TonySoppyrano · 11/09/2017 16:00

Shop I've never heard of bamboo cloths. Thanks for that, will have a look.

I've not tried one yet but lots of people preferred them to flannels 😊

Anything by Ren. They usually have some offers on at M&S

I have sensitive skin and the No 7 range is fab. I've been using their cleansing balm and it's really made a difference. Last ages so would be a great addition to a gift box.

Maybe check out when they have their 3 for 2 offers?

a serum, balm cleanser, face cloths, face mask

I like the REN Vita Omega 3 face oil - lasts ages - I usually buy it when M&S have 20% off - I think from memory that REN do a mini pack of small sizes - like a travel pack which may work for your idea ?

For cleanser - I use micellar water to start & then use an oil cleanser - you could get mini samples of these.

Could the salon where you have booked treatment let you have a couple of samples for the box - I know dermalogica do a lot of samples that salons have.

BeaLola · 11/09/2017 20:16

oops just thought but if you buy a lot of womens magazines or know someone who does you could add a few samples of things that way - both my magazines this month had the Clarins serum sample in them.

Have you seen the Tili box on qvc? 20 for 9 items and no p and p, just got mine and very impressed.

Alternatively a temple spa taster kit would be good or a ren kit (on look fantastic clearance)

TonySoppyrano · 12/09/2017 11:09

Unicorn That's a great idea, thanks. I'm addicted to QVC!

All brilliant suggestions on here, thanks.

BeaLola It's not a spa really, it's a woman who does facials at home so I don't know if she'd have samples to give- I'll ask though for sure Grin
