Red ankle boots

I've fallen utterly head-over-heels in love with these red ankle boots from Next. They're under £50 so not ridiculously expensive but nothing in my wardrobe is red or even matches anything red (I'm a navy skinnies and white shirt preppy sort most of the time). Is it madness to buy them? And how on earth would you style them?

The sky's the limit. Red goes with so many colours. I'd say your navy skinnies will go very well with red boots.

I have red boots, they go with loads. Actually I would avoid wearing red with them, unless it's a little bit of print in a top or something. I wear them with black and blue skinny jeans.

They are lovely! Red shoes look great with most things. Especially if you have a red bag and gloves to match! Look really sophisticated if subtle.

Navy skinnies, white shirt and red boots sounds perfect to me. With something so bright you don't want other clothing to compete with them.

Oh no, I thought you'd all shout and tell me not to do it!

I keep thinking I'd have to introduce other bits of red into my wardrobe but Pinterest agrees re the navy skinnies and white shirt so I've ordered them!

Red goes with blue, black, grey and brown, so would work with a lot of your wardrobe.... and mine, hence being very tempted!

Red is, in my view, a neutral. You'll look and feel tremendous in them.

Ooh..they are nice.....might have to get some. I've been wearing a pair of red loafers all summer so these could be my winter injection of colour!

They are lovely! I would wear them with my grey skinnies and maybe a black top; I love red with black and grey. Although as PP have mentioned, red goes with so many other colours!

I completely agree you don't need to wear other red things at the same time to match them - they will look beautiful all on their own.

Flip
