Looking for a good eyebrow filler

As most of us who were young and vain in the nineties and noughties, I have quite thin eyebrows which don't seem to be in any hurry whatsoever to grow back... I'd really like to find a quick easy brow definer. Most of the pencils I have look dark but seem to look almost 'ginger' when applied! I have dark brows but quite light hair and small features so I don't want to go too dark otherwise I look scary.... can anyone help? Is Charlotte Tilbury any good and if so which products are worth getting?

Chanel have an excellent eyebrow pencil with a great consistency, never looks drawn on www.chanel.com/en_US/fragrance-beauty/makeup-brow-crayon-sourcils-122578

I like Benefit's Ka-Brow for everyday, it's pretty much foolproof and comes in plenty of colour ways.

PaperdollCartoon · 10/09/2017 09:53

Have you tried using powder and an angled brush instead? More choice of colours and tends to look more natural. Comb through with a brow gel (on a spooly brush) then fill in the gaps.

Thank you all. Yes I had a lovely lady draw some brows on me using Benefit products in Sephora recently. It did seem a bit fiddly and possibly not idiot-proof enough for me. And I had to buy two products, which came to about £40 Shock so I decided not to. I'm quite low maintenance and just want something quick and easy... thinking of having my brows bladed but I've seen too many rubbish-looking ones out there to be rave enough!

Thanks Ouch. I had a Chanel one once, and used it up ages ago... must have been good then. Completely forgotten about it, thanks for reminding me!

Ouch... thanks that was the one!

Wilko eyebrow powder is amazing.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 10/09/2017 10:00

I use the rinmel pencil every day. I have the benefit gear it's fiddly I agree. The ja brow I use in too on pencil for a night out. The pomade is hopeless. I've tried loads of products across the spectrum of price but I can't do it better with anything than the rimmel pencil. To stop it looking drawn on pull the brush through the brows to soften it

BlondeB83 · 10/09/2017 10:01

Another vote for Benefit here for fool proof although I don't think it necessarily looks the best on.

TealStar · 10/09/2017 10:02

Thanks Wilko and Queen... the Chanel one is bloody expensive and those sound like good budget options.

I did have benefit brow-zings once but the fall out was really bad so I gave up!

It is budget but I'd happily pay loads more.

TealStar · 10/09/2017 10:08

Thanks Dame... is that the colour you use? If so are you blonde or brunette? (you don't actually have to answer that)

Barry M Brow-Wow. I use this every day

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/09/2017 10:12

There are two sets, one lighter, one darker. I have black brows so use the darker set. When I go downstairs I'll look up the exact set number.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/09/2017 10:13

Just googled- I use 'natural brunette' set, the one I linked to is 'natural blonde.'

TealStar · 10/09/2017 10:13

Thanks Dame, I think I've found it. I need to investigate this! It's a bit fiddly looking as I was hoping for a pencil, but at that price it could be worth experimenting.

Thank you also tallulah, I need to go shopping to investigate'

I have blonde hair but darker eyebrows and use the Mac 'lingering' pencil as it has a really thin nib and is only about£16 I think

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/09/2017 10:15

I have lighter hair than brows too. For that price you could buy both and have a play around to see which suits better.

VodkaRevelation · 10/09/2017 10:20

Oh it's wax, not gel.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 10/09/2017 10:25

I use a brown matte eyeshadow. It was a Clinique freebie years ago and I bought it again on eBay for a few quid recently.
