In, definitely! Due to being timeless I think. I've got 3 in various colours and styles and will be wearing them again this year.

BanyanTree · 10/09/2017 07:35

Phew....I've got 3.

MikazaMikaza · 10/09/2017 07:43

I'm sure I saw one on the Joules website recently and fell utterly in love but have held off thinking they surely have gone out of style by now but I can't stop thinking about it.

Autumn is the absolute best time for clothes, shoes and coats. There's so much to choose from and the colours become so much more beautiful.

dudsville · 10/09/2017 09:48

As an outsider, someone who'e not worn one since being a child in the 70's, can I ask about this? Being a loose layer do they add any warmth? Do they flap about in the wind? Where do you put your hand bag???? A part of me would like to get one but I have these ishoos!

WhooooAmI24601 · 10/09/2017 09:50

I had one a couple of winters ago and never worked out the handbag issue other than having to use an Alexa and carry it by the top handle as nothing could go over my shoulder.

PollyPerky · 10/09/2017 10:03

I don't get ponchos. They don't have sleeves so how do they keep you warm? Do you wear them like a coat or a cardigan, (indoors)?

MikazaMikaza · 10/09/2017 10:08

I see it as a layering item, so you need to wear long sleeves underneath.
Then get a poncho with slits or sleeves, for example:www.theoutnet.com/en-GB/Shop/Product/736559?cm_mmc=ProductSearchPLA--GB--Clothing-_-Knitwear-Google&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiITk1aGa1gIVzbvtCh2gUAJwEAQYBSABEgKXDvD_BwE
and perhaps wear long gloves.

I am just about to crochet a new one, just dithering over which pattern and size I want.

FilledSoda · 10/09/2017 10:10

I love them and would wear them regardless of being in vogue.
Wear what you like.

strawberryblondebint · 10/09/2017 10:12

Alternative tentacle please link to chosen pattern and I will love you forever

strawberryblondebint · 10/09/2017 10:12

@AlternativeTentacle pleeeeease

HolgerDanske · 10/09/2017 10:16

I love them.

Have a lovely thick caramel one and a lighter navy one.

This year I want to buy either a black or a burgundy one.

AlternativeTentacle · 10/09/2017 10:23

I really really like this one...

I would like to do a crochet version of this

Or a crochet version of this

But still dithering...as usual.

AlternativeTentacle · 10/09/2017 10:33

sorry those are wraps, also looking at poncho designs...can't decide!

Was looking at this one

And quite like this one for all those chilly nights before the woodburner kicks in

Want2beme · 10/09/2017 10:34

Thanks so much for this. I've got just the one and I love it. Was hoping to wear it again this year!

Here's mine from Zara from a couple of years ago

I always think they look very elegant as an extra layer, more stylish than a cardigan.

BanyanTree · 10/09/2017 11:43

I have 2 Jigsaw ponchos and a very expensive one from Lexington. I had an issue with which bag so bought a small Longchamps Le Pilage with a small handle just for poncho use.

strawberryblondebint · 14/09/2017 18:49

@AlternativeTentacle I love the lion brand one. Hmmm I'm now on the hunt. I want a really snuggle one

notafish · 14/09/2017 19:46

I love mine and find it perfect for an extra layer over a jumper when picking up or waiting for children at various clubs.
