Worth it? Can the cost be justified?

OP posts:

I got rid of mine after a few goes. I wouldn't say it was worth it. I guess whether it can be justified depends on how much disposable money you have and how much of a boost coming home to a box of samples once a month would give you.

Maudlinmaud · 09/09/2017 16:21

I get it. I've had some lovely things from it and some not so nice. I wish they would stop with the hand creams though.
I was going to cancel it and sign up to a candle box instead but haven't got round to it. My daughter keeps the empty boxes to store nail varnish and hair clips etc in.
I'm happy with it really and have discovered a few perfumes I wouldn't normally have seen.

GissASquizz · 09/09/2017 16:24

I've just got my second box. I've liked everything so far. Plus I like getting a nice parcel that's a surprise.

UsernameTaken2 · 09/09/2017 16:30

I had it for a couple of months. Most of the stuff that came in mine is still in the cupboard untouched (I had mine 2 years ago). Although it did get me started on a lovely organic face serum that I continue to buy. It's called madara cellular repair

pinkblink · 09/09/2017 16:34

I debated cancelling after this months but I loved everything in it and it suckered me in again, if someone recommends you then you get £5 off so it's not as much to lose if you aren't impressed

christmasunicorn · 10/09/2017 08:46

I had it for 3 months then cancelled. It can be great and introduce you to some amazing samples but it's expensive for samples and gets a bit samey.
I'd love the look incredible box but it is £££

HurriedLovey · 10/09/2017 09:00

I had it for a few months but cancelled last month.

Not really my thing and there was far too much dry shampoo.

belleandsnowwhite · 10/09/2017 09:59

I have subscribed on and off for years now. It is hit and miss really but I find it fun to get the boxes and have had some amazing products over the years, my favourite I got was the original beauty blender, (I would never have spent that much on a blender)

Maudlinmaud · 10/09/2017 10:16

Yes I got the beauty blender and have only just started using it. It's great for getting a full coverage finish. I can't believe I didn't know this.

Unicorn81 · 10/09/2017 10:18

I tried this and look fantastic boxes but cancelled both. Too many bits i wont use. I recommend this though, just arrived this week and i will use everything

tili box

asongforthelovers · 10/09/2017 10:51

Just cancelled yesterday, several times I received box with missing items. I don't think it's worth it.

Northernlass99 · 10/09/2017 20:46

I have been given it for six months as a gift. I have had two boxes so far and loved everything in it. As a gift its really great, but I am not sure I would want it for much longer than six months or to pay for it myself!

BluebellGal · 10/09/2017 22:24

If you like quality perfume samples I can recommend Perfume Society. Not a subscription but I'm a member (£25 annually) and I get boxes stuffed full of a range of samples for £12.50 (and some beauty products) ad hoc. Recent box included 3x 7.5 ml Miller Harris and E Coudray perfumes, plus 2ml samples from Shay and Blue, Annick Goutal amongst some more mainstream samples
