Makeup recommendations for mature skin?

My mum is about to turn 70. She's quite hard to buy for as she's never really been into fashion, makeup, fragrance or jewellery (I normally get her flowers or plants).

However, she's recently lost a lot of weight and has expressed an interest in wearing makeup so I thought it might be nice to get her some nice skin care products and makeup. Perhaps a set if they're available? Or maybe some lessons or something as she's never really worn it before and might needs some application tips now she's older.

Can anyone recommend something along these lines please?

What about Liz Earle for skincare? They do a starter/trial set.

I would find a salon or makeup artist local to her who offers a makeover session, and book her one. She will probably need some advice on application, products and colours if she's never worn makeup before.

There is a company called Look Fabulous Forever that specialises in make up for older skin. They also have loads of you tube videos using women from 50 to 80 as their models.
