Thank you. It was the inimitable intense. But seeing if there's another maybe cheaper option. I used to have a Revlon one years ago and also the Badgal Plum but can't find one anywhere now

Benefit Bad gal plum was discontinued years ago, sadly.

ByTerry and Dior do a plum mascara much pricier though.

Clarins and Clinique both do plum mascara.

Benefit also do a purple that might work?

Kiko do one for less than a fiver.

Nyx do a purple one that's quite cheap? It might be too bright though? Worth a try

This YSL one comes in violet and burgundy. I have the former and can confirm that it's fairly muted.

I've got the nyx purple one, it's not great.

I've a Mac purply/plummy colour but again not great- it was a gift & I definitely wouldn't purchase.

That's good to know about the purple one. I've not tried that colour

So it's looking like ysl, kiko. And I've found byterry and nars too now. But byTerry is even more pricey!

I use a Dr Hauschka one in plum or aubergine I think, I think I bought it from the John Lewis website. I like it but it's a very subtle dark colour

I've had the YSL one in burgundy before as well as often buying the violet (which is my favourite) They're both really nice, not too over the top, but the colour shows up well under strong light. I have the blue one at the moment, that's pretty too.
Expensive though!

I've got the Kiko one. You inspired me to revisit today!

It's ok - a nice enough mascara. Bit clumpy but I comb through anyway. Good length.

Not so plum that you'd notice BUT softer than a black and more flattering than a brown.

I bought the kiko one, a jane iredale one, a very expensive organic natural one and the nyx one (more purple than plum).

I loved the kiko one but after wearing it for a few hours, my eyes were sore, swollen and bloodshot. Same happened with the other brands I tried but only purple, plum or blue/navy so there must be a colouring in them I can't use 😠

I do recommend the kiko one though if you have normal allergy free eyes.

I only got the kiko one on Thursday and have only worn it once but like it so far.

I have brown eyes with a lot of green and already line my eyes with burgandy pencil to bring the green out so plum mascara on the lower lashes just adds to it.

Have you looked at Sephora. They do tonnes of colours for mascara and dont smudge

Right. I am a dick. Just checked my Chanel and it says number 50 on it which seems to mean purple, not prune. Think I was confusing it with the other Chanel volume one. 'Tis weird though as the purple looks very purple not plum iyswim
