Chie Mihara shoes - Anyone have any?

I have just seen this make online and I absolutely LOVE them. I want about six pairs, but they are so expensive.

Anyone have any? Especially the heels, are they comfortable and worth the money?

Unfortunately there are no shops in my city which sell them so I would need to order them blind off the internet.

No but I also lust after them periodically

DoorbellsSleighbellsSchnitzel · 09/09/2017 11:50

I have two pairs ...Both bought half price in sales so almost justifiable 😄.

The heels are by far the most comfortable I've worn, but I'm still rubbish at wearing heels so I don't wear them nearly as often as I would like (weddings and special parties only these days, which are few and far between...)

snowgal · 09/09/2017 11:53

I had a pair, they were high but wearable and absolutely gorgeous. I sold them because I never wear heels since having the kids :(

jeaux90 · 09/09/2017 12:03

I'm lusting too. Is there anywhere that sell in store? Or if not where is best online for them?

hecallsmebunny · 09/09/2017 12:51

Arghhhhh wish I didn't look!! Some of the shoes are just fabulous!

SonicBoomBoom · 09/09/2017 13:06

Interesting Doorbells, they seem to be full price everywhere! Maybe I need to bide my time and they'll come down a bit. Even 20-30% would make a big difference.

They are so beautiful!

I have about 25 pairs. They are the most comfortable heels ever!

SonicBoomBoom · 09/09/2017 13:55

Fox how would you say they fit? True to size? I tend to sit halfway between sizes so should I go up or down?

I am jealous of your hoard Envy

I have slightly wide feet but I find them quite true to size. I take my normal shoe size. I would recommend starting with the ones with a slight platform in the front, I find those the most comfortable. Careful though, i never reach for the jimmy choos anymore Smile

Silverstreaks · 09/09/2017 15:16

I came across them for the first time yesterday on an Icelandic website. I thought the £275 was just their ridiculous pricing but unfortunately no its just the price they are.
Gorgeous shoes. I've checked out eBay and they do come up.
Time to save the pennies.

Firstaidnovice · 09/09/2017 15:27

I had a pair for my wedding! They sold them in John Lewis at the time. Incredibly comfortable. I have another brand new orange pair that are a tiny bit too small that I keep meaning to sell, so good to hear there's a market for them....

TheBusThatCouldntSlowDown · 09/09/2017 16:54

I have 2 pairs of heels, both bought brand new in the box from eBay for around £50 (bargains of the century!). They are very comfortable and true to size. Sometimes the official website has a sale on so you can get bargains, especially if you're a size on the extreme end of the spectrum (3 or 7, the 5s hardly ever make it to the sale stage unfortunately).

I believe the designer was also a podiatrist so she makes the shoes as comfortable and healthy for your feet as possible.

Pirisprinkles · 09/09/2017 17:34

I have a few pairs, very comfy and well made.
Sarenza stocks some models and often sends discount codes Wink

Timefortea99 · 09/09/2017 18:38

Never heard of this brand, and wish I remained in blissful ignorance! Just looked them up. Seriously stunning, do excuse me while I rub the drool off my iPad!

I am going to save up my 20 pence pieces so that I can get a pair of sandals next summer. Delayed gratification and all that.

missmoon · 09/09/2017 19:13

They are amazing, I have a couple. Very comfortable. You can get good bargains on Amazon, also Plumo in the sale. Chie Mihara trained in orthopaedics before she turned to shoe design, which is why they are so comfortable.

Shockers · 09/09/2017 19:15

Firstaid, what size are they??

SonicBoomBoom · 09/09/2017 23:18

Right, you've all convinced me. I'm getting a pair and I can't bloody wait!

The best shoes ever. Very comfy and gorgeous. Fenwick Bond Street and Liberty stock them, but just a few models and not always to my liking. I usually buy in shoe shoes in Spain or via Amazon.

Or... At Chie's outlet.

Anyone holidaying in the Costa Blanca? You can drive up to Elda, where they are made, 30/40 minutes from Alicante airport, and visit Chie's outlet store. Usually 50% off (last season) but sometimes they have this season's seconds or overstock. Worth a detour. The girls at the outlet shop are very helpful and go the extra mile to find a particular model or size. They once located a sold-out pair of shoes for me in NY and convinced the store to sell them to me (this particular store didn't ship to Europe back then).

(And there are many other shoe outlets in Elda; factory based in town = outlet somewhere in town).

Btw, the industrial park next to Alicante airport is like shoe-outlet-village-heaven. Upmarket brands are based in Elda but mid-range brands are based in in Elche and their outlets are in this area next to the airport. There is an enormous Tempe (Zara shoe factory) shop selling their shoes and handbags with huge discounts. Plus many other brands, not well known in the UK but good, selling leather shoes and handbags very cheap.

girlwhowearsglasses · 10/09/2017 02:11

I love 'em

Have ten towards old lace up boots I still wear. Heels and lower ones too.

Second hand on eBay there are lots - often not worn much.

So well made and she is a podiatrist too I think so explains comfort too

DoorbellsSleighbellsSchnitzel · 10/09/2017 08:21

My first pair were in the John Lewis sale around 5 years ago. The second pair were brand new/boxed from eBay. Paid around £140 for each pair. Both have the slight hidden platform at the front, which makes them way more comfortable than other shoes of that height!

Firstaidnovice · 11/09/2017 15:45

shockers, they are size six I think? I'll have to dig them out

ExConstance · 11/09/2017 16:13

I have a pair of very stylish aubergine patent lace ups which I paid £20 for on ebay, everyone comments on them. Some Toast own brand shoes are Chie Mihara, they do get reduced in the sale if you are quick.

Springbreeze · 11/09/2017 19:00

I have about 5 pairs - a mixture of ebay and Spice London. They are so comfortable and also the nearest I have found to stylish flats.

Shockers · 11/09/2017 21:46

Ah... I'm a 4, first 😕

I need some of these beauties for my wonky feet!

SonicBoomBoom · 28/12/2017 21:31

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. Grin

Chie Mihara website has a sale. And there are hundreds of beautiful shoes.

Unfortunately, they are only reduced by about 20%, so still quite expensive. But I've indulged anyway because they really are the most beautiful and comfortable shoes ever.
