Iv been using the lumea every / weeks since April . I have about 50% reduction in hair. My question now is.... are these the best results I will get, if so how often should I now be using it as I'm obviously way past the 6 weeks it mentions you will see results?

Can only speak for clinic laser/IPL and I found there was a limit to how much it could do depending where you are using it.

Bikini line, underarms - on pale skin it did really get rid of almost all the hair.

On my face, not so much. Eventually the hair got finer and paler - so it was still long, still darker than my face, but not really being picked up by the laser. I would guess home IPL would be the same only more so.

Plus hormones drive more hair to grow so new ones do pop up that you haven't had before.

If you have 50% reduction for facial hair that is an amazing result - I got a bit more than that with clinic but eventually I gave up on the advice of the clinic nurse who said basically I wasn't going to get further and did electrolysis which has taken me where I really wanted to get to.

Even with that, I need 10-15 minute top ups about once a month still for the new arrivals. But I am quite hairy Blush

I haven't done my face... can't bare the the stubbly face between goes!

Have done legs, under arms and bikini line. I have no idea how often I should do it? Once a month?

I've been using the Lumea on my body since about the beginning of the year. Results vary, my legs are down to about 70-80% reduction, outer bikini line it's almost like 90%, inner bikini area v. little, I'd say 30%-40% Armpits, one is nearly bald the other still has a substantial patch. So very mixed all round.

I do have PCOS so I wasn't expecting it to be a miracle worker as my growth cycle isn't typical and having experience with professional laser on my face. That achieved a 90% reduction (now just a yearly top up) but took twice the amount of normal sessions. With the Lumea I did have to continue the every fortnight session longer than recommended so carried that on for another 8 weeks before being able to do a session just once a month. Still not completely hairless, but hairless enough not to bother shaving all that often. I mostly bought into it to get as much of it away as possible and then finish up with a professional laser, hopefully saving me from having to do double sessions like I did for my face.

Maybe I should try monthly now? Iv been doing it for maybe 20 weeks fortnightly?

Hmm. I used mine every two weeks for 8 weeks, so 4 times. I have had no hair at all after that for 6 weeks and didn't use the Lumea at all in that time, and then I suddenly had a couple of hairs on one armpit, and a couple on my 'tache and a few along my jawline a few days ago. After re-zapping my face I realised that all the jawline hairs were completely white, so none of the dark ones have grown back.

I still have no hairs at all on my legs which is utterly amazing to me. I will give my legs a zap anyway in the next few days. I don't ever defoliate my bikini area, so can't comment on that.

Incidentally, in my Lumea instructions, it states that you do not need to shave before using the Lumea once you have done the first 4-5 two-weekly treatments, and it also says that you can epilate or wax instead of shaving if you prefer.

I used mine in the early summer, maybe 2 or 3 times over a month on my legs. I went through the whole summer without any hair on my legs.

I have just used it tonight, but, tbh have had no regrowth as yet.

I am pale with dark hair.
