Anybody good at doing kibbe or john Kitchener style essences? (In the same vein as "color me beautiful" with spring, summer, autumn, and winter never could figure mine out)
So like dramatic, natural, romantic, gamine, ingenue, ethereal, etc. using the yin-yang scale and your facial features and body type.
Is there a more modern version? What's the best book or test? Can you be gamine without big eyes or short height?
Here's the kibbe test for anyone interested (he doesn't include ingenue/youthful or ethereal, that's john Kitchener) expressingyourtruth.blogspot.com/2013/02/kibbe.html

Yes, I love this kind of thing. Smile I'm soft classic according to the Kibbe system, and soft summer in terms of seasonal colour analysis. At least I think so...

Do you know what Kibbe type you are, OP?

Dustbunny1900 · 08/09/2017 21:49

Yay somone who knows kibbe! I'm having a hard time with mine , i m thinking maybe flamboyant gamine though, as I'm all straight linear lines, sharp narrow features and feel great in tomboy type clothing. But it can be confusing and I'm so bad at analyzing myself. Other ppl I can seem to do no problem

I'm Classic Ingenue according to my HoC style day, and I think bit "fits" me very well.

Ididnthearanything · 09/09/2017 08:36

I wonder is there a cross-over with HoC and the like and Kibbe? I often wondered why you don't hear of Kibbe/Kitchener much and hears kids about the colour folk.

I've tried in the past to figure myself out Kibbe-wise. Couldn't do it.

Dustbunny1900 · 09/09/2017 13:22

What is HoC??

House of Colour I think do a version of the Kibbe types. You can do their Style Class to be matched to a type/combination and get specific guidelines on how it matches your body shape/colouring/lifestyle.

Gillybobs · 09/09/2017 15:36

I did the HoC style day, fascinating stuff. I'm romantic classic and it makes sense of so many mistake purchases from the past...money well spent!

mowglik · 09/09/2017 16:56

Yes I'm a natural romantic - I found it really useful and it helps me organise my wardrobe, coordinate etc.

Try typing in the style combos into Pinterest or google and see what images come up - do they look like your style/something you would wear? I had a definite yes moment when I started researching natural romantic styles/outfits

I'll look up house of color!
Question for, those good as the seasons coloring..is it possible to have warm eyes and skin but ashy hair??
