Too cold for sandals, too early for boots

What are you wearing on your feet?

I'm looking for some casual shoes, flat, leather not suede so they can cope with showers.
I work from home so doesn't need to be v smart. I'd prefer shoes rather than trainers.

Hit me! Grin

Watching. I've looked for the past few years and can never find anything suitable that doesn't cost the earth. I'm wearing trainers currently.

WipsGlitter · 08/09/2017 11:54

Brogues for work - pale pink
Adidas Stan smiths the rest of the time

LaurieFairyCake · 08/09/2017 11:59

Loafers? I wear fit flop ones. Russell and Bromley do lovely ones - expensive though

Pascall · 08/09/2017 11:59

Clarkes

Leather converse

LaurieFairyCake · 08/09/2017 11:59

I'm also wearing ankle boots

rightknockered · 08/09/2017 12:03

Not too early for boots

RatherBeRiding · 08/09/2017 12:03

Loafers.
Timberland canvas boots.
Converse.

Shoes?
Not the first time I've seen this problem

BusterGonad · 08/09/2017 12:12

I've got brogues for when I want to look smart, New Balance for casual and today I've been wearing my grey suede knee high boots. It's not to early for me, I love autumn clothes. Sandals and flip flops are just not my thing at all!

Timeandtune · 08/09/2017 12:14

It's not too early for boots if you live in Glasgow. I had mine on in August!

hecallsmebunny · 08/09/2017 12:26

Brogues. Have a Red or Dead pair I got in Schuh. 4 or 5 colour available. Even comfy without socks

LoniceraJaponica · 08/09/2017 12:33

The temperature not the calendar dictates what I wear on my feet. This morning it was 11 degrees and pouring with rain. I wore ankle boots.

It's been too cold for sandals for me for a while now (in Yorkshire)

Would you be too hot in boots or something? I am in full on autumn mode- thick tights, jumper dress, Chelsea boots, leather jacket. I think Yorkshire got about a fortnight of sandal weather in June...

LoniceraJaponica · 08/09/2017 13:54

You must live near me taybert Grin

The trouble with this weather is that I need socks as my feet feel the cold easily, and would those loafers look daft with socks?

missyB1 · 08/09/2017 13:55

I need to buy some loafers, they have to be really comfy though.

LoniceraJaponica · 08/09/2017 14:03

Watching with interest. I love the idea of loafers, but have never found any that are comfortable or where my heel doesn't slip out. I have narrow heels relative to the broadest part of my foot and most loafers I have tried are like flip flops on me.

Sparkletastic · 08/09/2017 14:31

I've worn boots all week quite happily. I'm in the 'sunny' south east

WhooooAmI24601 · 08/09/2017 14:33

Converse, ankle boots and loafers are my friends this month.

Converse leather ones are lovely and a teeny bit smarted than the congas so I can get away with looking 'smart-ish' in them.

Squirrelfruitandnutkin · 08/09/2017 17:15

Thanks all!
Maybe brogues, not a loafer fan.
I guess I find I wait another week I'll be perfectly happy in boots! 😂

Lots of flip flops, pregnant and my feet are too fat for anything else.
Can occasionally squish into my converse if I have to

TheCelestialFox · 08/09/2017 17:19

I'm in ankle boots already. It's cold here.

OublietteBravo · 08/09/2017 17:21

I'm wearing boots today (and I'm in the Midlands). It's not too soon.

taybert · 08/09/2017 20:51

Probably Lonicera, I was actually in a different country for the two weeks but I hear it was very nice!

Babyblues my babies were both autumn born, you've just reminded me of one of the things that depressed me when they were nearly due which was having all the wrong clothes for the season. Maybe this is why I always go mad buying clothes in September!
