Have you got your boots out yet?

It's pouring down with rain here and I am going to get wet feet if I wear my flip flops but it seems too soon to get the socks and boots out. What are you wearing on your feet today?

Metallic trainers here. Wore boots the other day and they felt a bit too soon. Not flip flops weather here at allSad

snowgal · 08/09/2017 09:48

I live in the Highlands, I'm resolutely wearing birkenstocks until the months out!

WhooooAmI24601 · 08/09/2017 09:57

Yep I wore tan Hudson ankle boots for the school run this morning as it's hammering it down and they're invincible. The boots are all stowed away in the spare room wardrobe and I'm itching to get them all out.

MsRight · 08/09/2017 10:00

There are literally puddles here so I think it's trainers today for me.

Been wearing mine for a few days now :)

PNGirl · 08/09/2017 10:03

Yep. 1st September every year!

skyzumarubble · 08/09/2017 10:08

Not yet but I'm wearing my new ones in the house now with a pair of thick to soften them up a bit - I think I am going to need them for the school run later. I got away with flip flops this lot j g.

Gah81 · 08/09/2017 10:09

My trusty Clarks hamble brogues. As recommended by MN - and they are truly brilliant :)

Heratnumber7 · 08/09/2017 10:11

No boots yet, but I'm in my black opaque tights already

YorkshireTree · 08/09/2017 10:12

I wear boots all year round. Mostly doc martens.

EccentricPickle · 08/09/2017 10:13

Ok, I clearly need glasses as I thought the title said "have you got your boobs out yet?" BiscuitBiscuit

I'm currently in trainers as my boots always seem to let the water in - I think I need to spray them. Trainers are the only thing that seem to keep my feet completely dry.

BanyanTree · 08/09/2017 11:17

I want to get out my boots but I know when I do the heat wave will return. Also, I am going to somewhere hot in a few weeks. I may wait till after Oct half term.

Katelovesdave · 08/09/2017 17:44

I dug out my trusty dm floras this morning as it was peeing down here.

onlyconnect · 08/09/2017 17:54

I try and hold out as long as I can but September is often nice and it's easy. Might not last long this year.

oldlaundbooth · 08/09/2017 18:29

Had my cowboy boots on today 😁

OutToGetYou · 08/09/2017 18:37

I need new black knee high boots, I threw last years away at the end of the season as the sole was flapping off.
I've worn my brown knee highs to work one day this week. And been back in opaques two weeks.

cleanasawhistle · 08/09/2017 19:33

Yes grey ankle boots on yesterday and black ankle boots today....usually wait a while to wear my knee high boots

MsRight · 08/09/2017 19:50

Well I was in trainers for half the day then the sun came out with not a cloud in the sky so Im back in the flip flops.

I wore my suede over the knee boots, I can't wait to get my boots on, I love autumn.

Treadlightly · 08/09/2017 20:45

I was so happy to get my boots on today!
Did a happy Boots dance!!!
Really raining here & massive puddles

LoniceraJaponica · 08/09/2017 20:46

It hasn't been flipflop weather since the bank holiday where I live. I let the weather dictate what I wear, not the calendar.

This morning it was 11 degrees and hurling it down.

OhDearToby · 08/09/2017 20:48

I live in the rainy west of Scotland so my boots never really go away. Have been wearing them more often in the past few weeks though.

PollyPerky · 08/09/2017 20:51

I wear whatever the weather dictates not what the calendar says.

I wore boots today as it was raining. I've worn boots in June if it was cold and wet. Why on earth not?

ThreeSangriasFloor · 08/09/2017 21:20

Unless we are having an Indian Summer (which we definitely arent in London), the ankle boots come out in September.

Long boots not until October/November.

Blueberryblueberry · 08/09/2017 22:21

Early September = ankle boots (Chelsea boots at the mo). Later sept is possibly tall boots. No matter how bad August is, it can only ever be brogues but definitely not boots... these are the rules
