6ft. Needs to be properly waterproof. I don't really want to look sack like if possible. Please help before my head explodes.

Mountain Equipment... If you want a gore Tex one.
The women's one I have has lovely long arms.

rubybleu · 08/09/2017 10:42

Nordic brands will be your friend. Didrikson and Ilse Jacobsen are a good starting point.

Closetlibrarian · 08/09/2017 10:49

Sea Salt. They do various lengths.

Or, my friend has one from a company called 'endangered species', I think it's called. I always admire it when she's wearing it - very stylish but also practical.

It's Protected Species. I have a parka and it's fabulous and looks great. I get many comments on it

The Seasalt Janelle is really long - I am 5'7'' and it hits below knee.

cakesandphotos · 08/09/2017 11:29

Seasalt is fab. I have their long length seafolly coat which covers my bum, I'm 5'10". But I know they do a long range, down past the knee kind of long

WhatsItAllAbout123 · 08/09/2017 12:18

I'm 5'10" with long arms; my walking / climbing coat is by Arc'teryx, all their women's fit walking coats have arms that don't rise up when I lift my arms above my head. Mine is a theta from 2003, it's bomb proof, but doesn't look smart.

I've just bought this from Decathlon; it's mid thigh length on me, totally waterproof and the sleeves are long enough when I'm walking normally, but they do raise up my arms when I lift my hands up above my head.

Ceefax101 · 08/09/2017 12:50

6'1. I bought a Boden shiny waterproof one with a hood about ten years ago and it's still going strong. Expensive but worth it.

PippiLongstromp · 08/09/2017 17:38

Helly Hansen is also Nordic and should be for tall people. I am 6ft and have a HH over the bottom waterproof coat, with just right length sleeves.

ThreeSangriasFloor · 08/09/2017 17:42

I'm 5'11 an Didrikson coats, while not cheap, do the job!

BikeRunSki · 08/09/2017 17:43

Lands End
Patagonia

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 08/09/2017 17:49

I want a long navy trenchcoat (I'm 5'11"). The only one I've seen that ticks all my boxes, tragically, is Burberry and costs £1,500.

TheFallenMadonna · 08/09/2017 17:50

I have a seasalt waterproof which is lovely (and certainly long enough on me) as long as I don't pull in the cords as then it gives me a waist just under my boobs Hmm

I have a fully waterproof mac by Aigle which is perfect!

TheFallenMadonna · 08/09/2017 17:51

I am 5'11"

iamthedanger · 10/09/2017 19:54

Thanks everyone! I totally love the 'protected species' one. Is it definitely, definitely for the, um, lanky??
