Where on earth to shop?

Have recently gone from size 16 to size 10 and desperately need lots of new clothes! On a budget too!

Got some skinny jeans in Primark but really stuck with tops. Have tried New Look, Matalan, Dorothy Perkins, M&Co, river island and can't find anything! It's all cold shouldered bardot tops! Or oversized boyfriend tops with rips?

Looking for nice tshirts in maybe a nice print?

Any suggestions of where to look?

Congratulations on the weight loss. How did you do it? Have u looked in white stuff. Fat face. Boden.

I love H&M for basics. Their sizing can be batshit so trying on is necessary but their shaping skinny jeans are my new best thing ever and their blouses and fine knits are ok for the price (but not great in terms of quality; expect to replace stuff you wear often).

F&F at Tesco of all places has decent cashmere jumpers and cardigans, but their trousers and blouses are polyester nonsense and should be burned to the ground.

Gap isn't always great but their winter knits are great and their nightwear and lingerie are decent.

Reiss does sales regularly and their blazers are unbeatable.

Zara is one of those shops that either has mad shit or lovely stuff; there's no middle ground. But if you search hard enough you can find genuinely lovely stuff. Their going-out shirts and blouses are good, and their shoes and coats have occasional moments of brilliance.

@perrypausal slimming world, it's been a miracle! Not thought of fat face or Biden, assumed they would be out of budget?

Thanks @WhooooAmI24601

Assumed all these would be out of budget too but will give them a try!

I love ebay. Search your size +new in the search bar and sort by 'ending soon'. I get loads of bargains usually under a fiver! If you like particular brands search for those too.

Last week I bought 2 pairs of chinos, one dress for work, a jumper and a time shirt, all new for £25 Inc postage (separately not as a bundle). Really happy with all of them.

Time shirt? T shirt.

dancemom · 06/09/2017 19:48

Sorting never thought of eBay!

Now you are size 10 try charity shops. My dd does so well there as small size and a lot of stuff fits her. Not so good for me as reckon more customers my size..14.
Enjoy shop and think outside the box as there are shops you may have avoided.
