Has anyone tried this new perfume? I love mademoisell coco and was thinking about buying chance eau tender until I heard about this one!

I tried it today, and loved it! Sprayed about half past ten/ish and it was still there at pm school pick up.

RupertPsmith · 06/09/2017 00:55

It's fine as a perfectly inoffensive white floral but I found it disappointing, tbh. I found it had very little complexity and it smelled cheap for Chanel.

JuicyCake · 06/09/2017 01:02

Hmmmm... I've worn Coco Mademoiselle, Chance & Allure on the past. Considered graduating to No.5. But interested to see what folk think of Gabrielle. Must pop in to my local department store for a sample!

CheckingMyPrivilege · 06/09/2017 03:21

Found it so expensive! I prefer Chance.

honeylou42 · 06/09/2017 05:42

I tried it yesterday and wasn't keen, I much prefer Mademoiselle to be honest.

BlackSwan · 06/09/2017 06:16

I dislike it - too sickly floral. Agree it smells cheap.

titsbumfannythelot · 06/09/2017 06:32

Disappointing. Will give it a wee try anyway.

Mum always wore No 5, & she mentioned a change of ingredient (a banned one?) that she was concerned about before buying another bottle. Perhaps they're using less quality ingredients for Gabrielle?
At that price, I don't think it's fair. L'Occitane recently changed the formula of their Divine face cream (the expensive one). Why? Smells awful now.

Meh

titsbumfannythelot · 06/09/2017 17:26

I smelled it today. It's ok but I much prefer the perfumes I mentioned previously. But then I'm not a fan of no 5 either.

Do you like Allure, tits? I think that's my favourite!

NomDePlumeReloaded · 06/09/2017 22:07

I thought this was a thread about the 90's eyepatched popstrel.

titsbumfannythelot · 06/09/2017 22:33

Love it. And love sensuelle too.

Not sure it's as straightforward as her being a Nazi. She closed the shop during the occupation. Yes, she was having an affair with a Nazi but her comment on that was along the lines of: "When one gets to a certain age, one doesn't examine the passport (of a lover)." But, yes, she was (apparently) quite worried that she would be considered a collaborator after the war.

(Having said all this, I'm not the world's biggest expert on Chanel or France under Nazi rule.)

Very disappointing, very expensive and smells cheap.

GingerLDN · 08/09/2017 03:11

I don't like it at all.

PerfumeIsAMessage · 08/09/2017 11:19

I wasn't surprised at how it smelled, having read a few reviews of it online first.
Dd who is 14 liked it. Because it's sweet and verging on the fruity.
Smelled like something Juicy Couture or Versace would put out with a blingy advert aimed at teenagers.
This is about the fairest review I've read so far. Though I don't agree that it smells "Chanel-esque" and like it has "top notch ingredients tbh.
