Which Hi tops

Can someone point me in the right direction- I'm after hi tops to wear this autumn/winter instead of my biker boots. I want them to go with my leather jacket (ink blue) and joggers/boyfriend jeans/skinnies.

I was hankering after some Ash Virgins (which were too pricey anyway) but think I need plainer hi tops to go Better with a leather jacket?

I love Ash Virgins. I've got through 3 pairs and really love them, they're so comfortable and go with everything. Pricey but worth it if you can afford it I think

Ah no! That's not what I wanted to hear! They're pretty much twice my budget.... but if we're discussing them... do they come up big? I was looking on eBay. I'm usually a 6....

Hi Zippy, yes I find they do come up big personally, I'm a size 5 but always get a 4 in them. Converse hi tops always look good too I think and will go with all you've said if you like those? Cheaper than Ash too

I've had clay, black and metallic grey in the Ash ones, all looked great with everything!

I live in converse, if you dont like the white toe cap have a look at the mono range. They often on sale/cheaper at usc.co.uk too.

Thanks for the advice! Might get to an office where I can try on the converse v Ash virgins and see. Do you know when office have the 20% sale off everything if it includes Ash?

Just looked at your link, I'm not keen personally, it's the tassel thing I think, plus colour a bit meh perhaps? It all depends on your style though. With Converse you could look at leather rather than canvas perhaps - if you're looking at something more hard wearing? A friend of mine had some gorgeous grey leather ones with a sheepskin type lining - that'll bump the price up though I know :( Good luck!

Yes I think I saw them last year/year before and wish I'd have got them then.... can't find similar now.

My style (I use that term loosely) is relaxed and simple- I love hush basically but can't afford to buy everything I like from there! Not sure if I got the Ash virgins if there'd be too much going on with my buckles on the jacket and shoes if that makes sense?

Yes I see what you mean there, by the time I got my Ash ones I'd probably moved away from my classic biker jacket, though I still wear a similar look just not as buckled so i get what you're saying. Maybe Converse is the way to go then? Classic and will never date - my son is now my size so I grab his cast offs if they're up to it. Bonus!

Oh lucky! I guess I'm a few years away from that yet!- something to look forward to. Think I might try on some classic black converse and see how they look. I do love those ASh ones though!

Classic back are great, go with everything! My daughter also has those and has worn them to death. Hope you get sorted, Ash are also great though if you do decide to splurge, I'm a bit tempted to get some more myself now, my last pair wore out some time ago! Perhaps classic black C's for now and request some Ash for Xmas if poss?

Poverty i love the look of vans but my last pair were so uncomfortable and difficult to get my feet into.

I love my Ash Virgins. I am usually a small 6, and the 5/38 fits me perfectly.
