It's another hair question please?

My used to be blonde as a child, but now it is a mix of grey, silver and left over blond highlights. I stopped having highlights about 9 months ago, as my hair didn't seem to 'hold' the colour and I was left with orangish streaks. (this was despite using colour care shampoos and conditioners)

Now the grey / white is showing through a lot more, I don't think I really like that either. My hair is a chin length bob, and I wouldn't grow it as it would be strangly and short hair does not suit me.

I am nervous about using anything from the chemist in case my hair ends up more streaky. Help, please.......

Don't do a diy job. Go to a decent hairdresser

Forget the dye!! I stopped colouring my hair just before Christmas, it's now almost totally white and silver, also a chin length bob, it's in much better condition, shines and feels and looks so much better.... Embrace the silver! Smile

You could get silver dye/highlights and rock the grey look.

Go to a salon and get some good advice.
I have a few ladies that have similar to you. It's not that the colour stops taking it's because as yours goes greyer the hi lights tend to dissapeared altogether.
A good half head of silver hi lights and use of a silver shampoo would clean your colour up and a new edgy cut would finish it off nicely. Smile
