What shoes/boots do your 10 yr old DDs wear with dresses/skirts or with jeans when wanting to be a bit smarter?

DD lives in converse and I'm happy with her wearing them with with whatever - but what do you do when they need something a bit smarter? She can't keep ballet flats on her feet - her feet are really narrow and shallow and they just slip out. She had some gladiator sandals this summer but that's no good now we are definitely into autumn!

Some inspiration please

I can't keep ballet flats on my feet either so I wear Mary-janes. My winter work ones are black patent.

My dd nearly 10 is the same. You can always go for a boot/ shoe boot option. They look quite cute but quirky with dresses

Next do a lovely leather Chelsea boot for girls which would match jeans, leggings or tights/skirts. Perfect for this weather.

Ankle/chelsea boots. Something like this

I was thinking aomething along the lines of Chelsea boots, but was wondering where best to find them. I will check out H&M to see if they have brown as that would go better than black with most of her clothes. I don't think the next ones will work as next shows have always come up too wide on my dc. My younger DDs have these boots and they look great on them, but maybe a little too young for older daughter.

What she really wants is a pair of cowgirl boots - she could totally pull them off too but she would stand out like a sore thumb here - maybe if we ever move back to TX!!!

Nice pair of Chelsea boots, I also got nice black suede boots from Newlook Teen, they go great with skinny jeans, midi dresses and dresses.

H&M has these ones in a beigey brown colour

My daughter has a some black H&M chelsea boots and loves them

Dd wears a jodphur style Chelsea boot often with knee length socks and then either a skirt or shorts and tights. She also has some knee length Art boots which she wear with smarter dresses, or if out to dinner etc party shoes from Monsoon.
Chelsea boots are Toggi Augusta.

DD12 has a pair of knee-length dark brown leather Geox boots that are so nice I'd wear them myself.

I'd get her a nice pair of cowboy boots if that's what she wants. I wore and loved them in my late teens / early twenties, very practical and can be cool.

The problem is finding a pair which are authentic in this country strummer - next time we're back in TX I'll visit cavenders and get her a proper pair but here that's not so easy!

I've just ordered her these from Joules and these from Zara so we'll see what she likes and if they fit well.
