Before having my baby 7 months ago I was a 14-16. I'm a similar weight than I was before now but have more of a tummy. I can't seem to find any damn jeans to fit! I just don't know if it's cos I'm used to leggings now or what but I got some size 18s in DPs and they dig in.. some 16s from primark and they practically fall down to my ankles.. I seem to be spending a fortune on jeans and still end up wearing legging as none of them are comfortable enough to wear all day! Where do you suggest I look?

I've ended up back in men's jeans - went to Levis last time, they lasted a year with pretty much constant wash and wear.

I find high waisted jeans quite flattering for stomach covering and holding everything in. Topshop Jamie are my favourite skinny jeans.

For jeans spending more actually gives you quality provided you buy non-stretch (or as much non-stretch as possible). Suggest you look at GAP authentic straight/slim, Levis first.

M&s but only the Ines that aren't really stretchy ( you need to go in store and test each colour/finish for stretchyness)

But without stretch, arentnthey stiff and uncomfortable? Just wondering, as it's years since I've had jeans without stretch. But then, I am a 14-16

I've researched his extensively. Topshop! Jamie and Joni for high waists.

Thanks everyone. I ordered river island.. too small in waist, mum kindly ordered me some M&S.. too tight round my 'mum tum'.. asda wonderfit seem to have good reviews but seem to be sold out online. Think I shall have to have a day out purely for trying on jeans! x

Topshop Joni.

Anywhere but Next, they seem to get bigger as the day goes on and I end up with saggy crotch!

Damsel in a Dress jeans? They are very expensive but fit so well and are flattering on the tum I find, just enough stretch to hold you in a bit, but not so much that they are too stretchy. These are described as skinny but they are not very skinny. They are sort of between skinny and straight leg I think.

On offer at the moment! www.johnlewis.com/damsel-in-a-dress-nara-skinny-jeans-navy/p3296830

I've just bought some "dog walking" jeans from a charity shop. They're GAP and how can I say, "distressed" looking? I've never had GAP jeans but have to say, they fit really well; no gaping at the waist; they don't constantly need hoiking up and I can wear without a belt so, no digging in an old scar I have which can be very uncomfortable. Am tempted just to wear them generally as they are the comfiest jeans I've ever had. Ever.

Am off to Gap on Sunday to have a try on.
