best pressed powder for no shine

Can anyone recommend a really good pressed powder? I need one which lasts longer than a hour before my face gets all shiny shiny! Don't mind paying a bit more for something good.

Tried a lot and still go back to the traditional max factor powder puff (navy package smells old lady) but it is brilliant

I use Dr Hauschka, as it doesn't look cakey on my skin Smile

Charlotte Tilbury - super fine so it never looks powdery but takes away shine.

Thanks both. Have never tried max factor actually.
Tried bobbi brown, L'Oréal and nars in the past - all just ok.

I'm seconding Charlotte Tilbury, best powder I've ever used and I've been buying powder for 30 years. It's expensive though, I've used nearly the whole thing in 4 months. I hate shine, even when everyone was going through that 'dewy' look I was trowelling it on.

Is the Charlotte Tilbury one the 'airbrush flawless finish' powder? Thanks

Use the Clinique matte pore cream stuff, it takes off shine better than any powder

I use face powder but am I right in thinking that it contains talcum powder. I know that body talcum powder has been banned. A pharmacist told me that if you use it never to put it near your face so surely a big puff a la Max Factor might be bad for you.
I don't know the medical ins and outs but I do worry a bit about it.

Chanel les beiges. It leaves you dewy and not caked, so you look natural but removes all traces of the shine. It's brilliant stuff.

Yes, Airbrush Flawless Finish

The Urban Decay one is fabulous (can't remember the name but it is in a purple compact and the powder is white).

Have you tried rimmel stay matte ? It's very cheap, I have tried lots of other more expensive (don't know why) and always go back to this one.

MusicToMyEars800 · 05/09/2017 09:22

I use Rimmel Clear complexion powder, I have very oily skin and find this works really well for keeping shine at bay.
