I think I spend too much on cosmetics. Currently use Dior Foundation and am wanting a cheaper alternative for every day use. Suggestions or reccomendations much appreciated

Cheeky bump
Mascara reccomendations would be good as well
And a black eyeliner pencil that doesn't smudge
And powder

I can help with mascara....,boots natural collection mascara (all of them) £1.99! And best I've tried! I'm currently using the water guard one but like them all.

3wayburger · 05/09/2017 14:25

I use No7 foundation day to day
And L'Oréal mascara day to day

Nights out and weekend I use Estée Lauder or my Lancôme make up

LoadsaBlusher · 05/09/2017 15:50

I also use Dior foundation but now keep it for " best ", so nights out and days out
For daily use Ive switched to Max Factor Facefinity 3 in 1 foundation

I've found it really nice as it has a primer built in. I have to use a bit more but it's a third of the price of the Dior .

I've always used Rimmel mascara , I like their scandal eyes range

Also have always used Rimmel exaggerate black liquid eyeliner .

Loads of great dupes out there now.

MUA range in Superdrug is amazing for lippy and highlighter

Was just about to recommend Max Factor Facefinity too, but the powder one. I've been using it for about 2 decades! Am q oily though, it might risk looking chalky on dry skin.

I'd love to find a cheap glowy-type balm

I really like Avon 'cream to powder' foundation, Rimmel scandal eyes mascara is brilliant as well! I've found if you use a decent primer it gives even the cheapest of foundations a good base to work with! Arbonne primer is the best I've used (£29)

FoofFighter · 05/09/2017 16:43

I discovered Collection 2000- as it was BB cream this week (in Poundworld even better!) and am really impressed with it.

BalconyBunting · 05/09/2017 16:48

I use L'Oréal infallible foundation for every day.
Collection 2000 pressed powder with spf.
LOreal double extension mascara.
Monistat anti chafing gel as primer.

Lottapianos · 05/09/2017 16:54

What skin type do you have OP?

I have dry skin and I use either Collection Illuminating Touch, Rimmel Match Perfection or The Ordinary Serum foundation. All under a tenner

Primer - No7 Skin Illuminator, £12

Lipsticks - Maybelline and Revlon are excellent

Mascara - Loreal Miss Manga, Max Factor Masterpiece, Maybelline Lash Sensational - all excellent and under a tenner

LavenderDoll · 05/09/2017 17:27

Thanks for all replies
I have oily skin prone to spots
I'm off to have a look at all the suggestions

Revlon Colourstay foundation is the best I've used - it comes in a really wide range of shades and there are different versions for dry and oily skin, depending on whether you want it to be dewy or matte in finish.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 05/09/2017 19:18

Secondly no7 I use skin perfecting foundation. Everything goes on with a beauty blender - £1 in Superdrug. Amazing!
