Anyone Ever shoved a leather Jacket in the washing machine ?

I have a (very Soft) leather Biker Jacket that purchased from TK Maxx about 7 or 8 years ago which I have worn & worn (best buy ever !!)

Anyway the pale green silky lining is now somewhat filthy - would I be completely mad to stick it in the machine on a hand or wool wash cycle ?

Don't do it! Why don't you see if you can get the lining only dry cleaned?

Definitely don't do it! You'll ruin your beloved jacket.

My brother! When it came out it only fitted my teddy bear, it was hysterical. TBF I don't think he knew how to put on a cold wash.

I have on a cold wash a good few years ago. It was absolutely fine but risky nonetheless!

I would go for it! I wash leather Coach handbags in the machine and read a great article saying that it was OK to ask leather trousers in the machine and in fact I bought a leather dress today that I will chuck in the machine tomorrow... however I would only use something like Woolly Wash and would perhaps add lanolin to the rinse:

No idea but I once machine washed a waxed jacket much to DM's horror (it survived).
