I have fallen in love with this jacket.
Could I get away with it in Autumn with it being yellow?
Do you like it?

I love it! Would look great in the autumn with burnt orange or brown underneath imo

Paintbox · 04/09/2017 18:19

Yellow seems to Be every everywhere at the moment so go for it if it suits you! I look hideous in yellow so will be avoiding that trend!

Louiser239 · 04/09/2017 18:22

I'm not sure it will suit me,I have dark brown hair like the model so maybe it will.

I think it's more about skin tone, I am cool toned so yellow looks awful but it can look great on those with a warm skin tone

Flyinggeese · 04/09/2017 18:28

OP I like it and think the colour is great for autumn.

I've just ordered a similar colour jacket from River Island. Will post a pic.

Argeles · 04/09/2017 18:29

It would look stunning in Autumn!

You see some leaves in the same shade at that time of year too. It would look great worn with other Autumnal shades, or with monochrome. I also think it would look gorgeous with a pop of this season's red - either an accessory or a killer red lip - stunning.

museumum · 04/09/2017 18:31

It's lovely but I think I'd avoid black with it so depends if you have lots of brown/navy trousers or shoes to wear it with.

Stellato · 04/09/2017 18:31

I like it but that's a hard colour for lots of people to wear. It would make me look like death warmed up.

Flyinggeese · 04/09/2017 18:31

This one.

Ooooh really..I wear a red lip every day.

I've got some navy skinny jeans it might match with.

Flyinggeese- that's lovely and very similar in colour.
Such a bargain for £30 too

Top lip or bottom op? 😆

MorrisZapp · 04/09/2017 18:35

I'm an intelligent woman but I am fucked if I can get my head around the cool toned warm toned thing. YouTube tells me it's the do with my veins being blue or green.

They're greeny blue.

Lovely jacket, think about what tops/jumpers you could wear it with though.

Flybye · 04/09/2017 18:36

Lipstick? Or...

Paintbox · 04/09/2017 18:36

I think the vein thing is a slight red herring to be honest. I love the skin toned colour thing, I think it really works but the easiest way to work it out imo is to forget veins and just see if you look better in white or cream. That would give a pretty good idea unless the skin tone is neutral

Louiser239 · 04/09/2017 18:37

I look good in white (pretty much all I wear)
Does that I mean I will suit that jacket or not?

If you look better in white than cream then you're likely cool toned which means that yellow won't be great on you. Try it and see though if you love the jacket

Louiser239 · 04/09/2017 18:41

Colours that always suit me are mint green/pale blue/white...
Those are generally the only colour I ever buy
They have a light grey version ..that might suit me better

OP posts:
Paintbox · 04/09/2017 18:43

Try them both and see what you think. Some people don't care about colours they just wear what they like and I can see the value in that definitely. I am a fully paid up member of the 'having colours done' club though 😂

CountFosco · 05/09/2017 00:28

If you think it looks good on you then wear it. I haven't worn yellow for years (not wine the 80s), I've just bought myself a yellow belt. It's very fashionable at the moment, although sadly harder to wear than millennium pink.

Peppermeant · 05/09/2017 04:53

I don't choose the colours I wear by the season I'm in - I dont get this at all! Smile If white looks great on you I'd steer clear of yellow. It's that one particular colour that can actually make you look really unwell if it doesnt suit your skin. Also if your veins are blue-green (rather than one or the other) you might be neutral toned

Peppermeant · 05/09/2017 04:55

By "season" I mean actual season rather than my colouring!

Stellato · 05/09/2017 06:52

If you suit mint green and white then that jacket probably isn't going to work. The pale grey looks like it fits with the kinds of colours you normally wear. You might find the cobalt suits you as well, if you want something more exciting?
