LOB with undercut?

I currently have a LOB, with a blunt fringe . It's an ashy blonde, interspersed with my natural ahem "silver" grey highlights. It's really, really thick with a lovely wave if I leave it to dry naturally and poker straight with a downwards blast of the dryer.

Took eldest DD (13) for her pre new term hair cut today. She's gone for an androgynous short back and sides with longer on top. She had a number 5 around the sides and back. It looks bloody amazing.

The buzz of the clippers got me hankering for an undercut.

Not that it matters, but I'm 45 and I have to appear, for all intents and purposes presentable for my job.

I can't really see a downside, as when I'm at work I'd wear it down and it wouldn't be seen.

Am I kidding myself?

I suppose a downside is the awkward phase if you want to grow it out and your hair is uneven lengths? Also if you wanted to put it up at work (in hot weather?) Obviously, your hair will look thinner with an undercut but this might not be a problem with thick hair.
That said, if you've given it some thought and really want it, just do it!

Do it! I did it and loved it - though I work in media, so it's a bit easier to get away with it, but I think if you wore it down you'd get the best of both worlds.
