Pondering which boots to wear for autumn

I've decided I need a pair of ankle boots in my life this autumn and received a Joules email that had loads of nice pairs. I normally only buy kids' clothes from there but I'm loving lots of their boots, especially these 3:

www.joules.com/Women/Shoes-Boots/Langham/Ankle-Boot/Black?id=X_LANGHAM|BLACK

www.joules.com/Women/Shoes-Boots/Westminster/Leather-Ankle-Zip-Boot/Black?id=X_WESTMINSTER|BLACK

What do you reckon? I've never had Chelsea boots before as I don't like the look of the elastic but on the Westbourne boots it doesn't stand out too much. And with 2 under 2.5 getting my shoes on and off hands free is a bonus!

Really I want something that will look good with jeans but also casual dresses and black tights. I know they're slowly going out of fashion but I'm still a skinny jeans girl as they suit me. Do these all fit the bill?

Any other recommendations?

I'm not that into any of them to be honest but I would warn you against getting a pair that zip up the back of the foot- I had a lovely pair that I hardly wear now as the zip ribbon has almost completely come away from the boot and I can't be arsed to get them mended

Following as I am pondering the same thing!

Been contemplating the Westbourne boots too but not sure I can carry them off (fat legs, huge feet!!)

I like the langham boots best from your links.
I've been looking at these to wear with dresses and leggings but I'm not sure whether I'm verging into hotter territory.

I would go for a mid heel mid height slouch boot, Suede if you can bear it

Great with jeans and dresses and easy to put on

Love the first pair - I have a pair similar from Dune and wore them to death, and now looking for a new pair. They just go with everything. (I wear skinny jeans, dresses/skirts and tights too)

I like those bluegrape, they look chicer (is busy a word!?) with the black heel.

I'm not sure about suede though as I'll be wearing them to death to do the nursery run and chase the kids round the park so think leather would be easier to keep clean.

taxiforme such a nice description - - sounds perfect but where do I find such thing?

I like the first ones, I have a pair of Aquatalia ankle boots with a zip at the back - it rattles as I walk and is really irritating.
