Denim jacket - yay or nay

I'm off on a girls weekend to Spain on Friday with carry on luggage only . So capsule wardrobe required which is fine . We have a very early start and hate being cold on the plane. I really don't want to wear a cardy though . I have vintage denim jacket but not sure they are still seen as fashionable . Mine is around 20 years old !!! I would wear it with a tshirts style jersey dress ???

It's a yes from me. Be warned though - we went on a girly weekend and as the taxi picked us up one by one, we'd each had the same idea.
Five of us, in denim jackets, like a really badly executed hen do.
