Navy dress, black jacket - wrong? (Interview outfit)

Trying to put together an outfit that looks smart for an interview tomorrow, I have bought a navy dress I quite like but only have a black jacket to wear with it (and it looks best with a jacket).
It doesn't look too weird to my eyes, but is this a combination that would look a bit weird? There are other things I could wear instead, but none of them are perfect iyswim.

It sounds weird but a lot depends on the actual shade of navy.

I'd say wrong - but would need to look at a picture to say definitively!

If the baby is very dark it will look weird. If there's an obvious contrast between the two colours I think it would be ok though.

Agree with Red. I have a navy dress that looks good with a black jacket, shoes and belts. Other navy items look terrible with black

The navy is not so dark that it could be mistaken for black - there is a contrast between the jacket and the dress.

Navy and black together = always wrong.

But them I am really quite old school when it comes to workwear as I was told never to mix them and navy dress means navy shoes and bag etc and the same for black and also to NEVER mix pink and red so what do I know?😄
