For a friend with sensitive eyes, suggestions please?

Clinique full to flutter.

Pinickins · 03/09/2017 09:35

I have very sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses and after lots of trial and error and ultimately following the great advice on here I now only wear Clinique lash power. I think you can try the Clinique mascaras out and if it doesn't agree with your eyes you can return. Lash power is lovely but you need to take it off with a hot flannel rather than eye make up remover.

Thank you 😊

Wear contacts and get my lashes tinted - works really well but needs doing every 4 weeks

I wondered about that but it's for her wedding in 6 days time and I think she's be too worried in case of a reaction Smile

Clinique makes my eyes sting (sensitive eyes and contact lenses wearer). I find Dior iconic overcurl the best. If it was for my wedding I'd use it with the primer.

Thanks 😊 I'm sharing all these suggestions with her

Most sensitive mascara is, by definition, next to useless I've found. I've worn lenses for 30 yes and the only mascaras that have irritated have been Body Shop (and they smell foul) and Benefit.

ShmooBooMoo · 03/09/2017 15:06

I have the most sensitive eyes (huge list of issues!) and my go-to mascara has been dc'd (I have some for now and am desperately searching for a replacement). I've bought (to try soon) - based on good things I've heard - Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum and the original Charlotte Tilbury.
Buy from JL and if she reacts I'm sure she'll get a refund. Ps The Hourglass only comes in black (black, apparently, is the least irritating pigment).

Max factor masterpiece waterproof

Fairylea · 03/09/2017 15:11

I've worn lenses for about 20 years and find I can wear pretty much any mascara. Maybe I have super tough eyes HmmGrin My personal favourite is max factor 2000 calorie.

I wear lenses and have sensitive eyes and gave been wearing boots no 7 for years x

sadmonkey1 · 03/09/2017 15:20

Lancome doll eyes or Grandiose in waterproof. I have sensitive eyes here and it has never shifted once, even when my eyes have been streaming!

TittyGolightly · 03/09/2017 15:23

Lancôme = Nestle though.

ilovecherries · 03/09/2017 15:47

I wore contacts for years, and as long as I used a base (in my case Lancôme CIL (???CLS) - a white tube, costs about £20 - most mascaras stayed put.

Thanks everyone 😊
