Too old for a colour ?

I'm 56 with (dyed) mid brown hair in a wavy bob. I have dark brown eyes. I dress a bit boho/ageing hippy ! I would love some colour in my hair but feel too old for an all over red. Any suggestions ? I'm going to Spain in a week for a last blast of sunshine.

Dye it or embrace the grey. Personally I reckon red hair would look fab on a 'boho ageing hippy'. You're not too old so don't put yourself down! Besides, it's only hair if you decide you don't like it you can change it. Its not red but what about this...

I went for an all over red and I did love it but I found the upkeep a nightmare and my hair ended up getting completely frazzled , which I have never experienced before. I did use just box dyes though, and it was a battle to both cover the greys and maintain any kind of vibrancy to the colour.

I have just gone back to a nice shiny dark brown.

Fuckery I absolutely love that colour. Did it come from a salon or a box from Boots? 🙂

I keep toying with the idea of going grey. My hair grows really fast so I have white roots every 2-3 weeks
Maybe a copper ? That's a good idea.
