Funky, chunky necklaces - where to buy?

PanicHitsEarlyForMe · 02/09/2017 13:51

I'm looking for some brightly coloured, chunky necklaces to finish off some basic 'top with jeans' outfits but struggling to find any. Any recommendations on where to look?
I like the necklaces that the blogger on totes-inappropes wears, see pics.

Following!

I get mine in charity shops - I have quite a collection. If you keep your eyes open you can find some lovely things, and good quality beads don't normally wear out or get damaged.

Gruach · 02/09/2017 13:59

Must you? ...

PanicHitsEarlyForMe · 02/09/2017 14:01

Yes, I've got a couple from charity shops but I need more!

I found a few in Anthropologie recently.

I have some lovely ones from Pull&Bear. Don't know if they're still doing them this season though.

Oliver Bonas - I get compliments on mine all the time!

Tatty Devine though admittedly only in the sale. I'm stalking the iridescent bubbles at the moment

Thanks for the link banana fish. Lots of gorgeous necklaces are now on my wish list.
I pick up pieces from second hand shops, John Lewis and phase 8.

Sorry for the late reply, thank you for the links. Xx

It might be fun to make yourself a necklace or two as well.

Whereland · 03/09/2017 22:33

My shining armour is a great Irish website with some chunky jewellery

0utForAWalkBitch · 03/09/2017 22:58

Another vote for Oliver Bonas, love their stuff! Or I love www.lou-taylor.co.uk but it's out of my price range.

Jess Collinge and Rosa Pietsch on Etsy.

Also a lot of silicone jewellery meets those criteria - it's used for teething jewellery but I wear mine all the time regardless. www.carlydoveboutique.co.uk is a nice one.

Judydreamsofhorses · 03/09/2017 23:05

I wear a lot of Tatty Devine which always gets comments and compliments. I have a few bits from Oliver Bonas but find the stringed necklaces tend to snap.

Argeles · 03/09/2017 23:15

If you're looking for bolder and brighter colours (like the ones in your photos op), than those typically found in Oliver Bonas at the moment, then check out H&M, EBay, Zara and Tatty Devine. They usually have some that are more vivid in colour.

Liberty is also fabulous for some really funky necklaces, but can be very expensive for the materials used.

Blondielongie · 04/09/2017 08:41

0utForAWalkBitch I've just ordered two from carlydovejrwellry on your recommendation! Thats exactly what I was looking for. (Just bonus that they are baby safe too, haha)

0utForAWalkBitch · 04/09/2017 10:32

Blondielongie oh good! I have a few of her things, she's a local lady so always like to support local! I saw Rosa Pietsch and Jess Collinge at a market, they are both fab small businesses too but I can't have any of their bits right now because of small children!
