I'm looking to spend up to £1k on a watch. Which of these would you recommend - or another brand I haven't mentioned?

I like the Citizen Eco-Drive brand.

It cost me a lot but it's the last watch I'll ever buy.

Of these longines or tag. Longines for more classic styles, or tag for something more modern/trendy.

RJnomore1 · 02/09/2017 11:51

I'm veering towards tag but I'm a bit of a Raymond Weil fan I think you got a lot for your money.

Gucci is more fashion watch isn't it?

Omega.
Dh and I have omegas - last forever.

Jjjaaakkk · 02/09/2017 12:01

Definitely Cartier, had mine 15 years looks as good as new. And they're still selling the same model, classic!

RJnomore1 · 02/09/2017 12:02

It's for a present - omega and Cartier are both more than I want to spend.

I don't know all the brands well enough to be able to help with comparison. But just to say that if you're anywhere near Bicester Village the Tag shop there sometimes has incredible bargains.

I've got a Raymond Wiel and a longines. I prefer the Longines it seems more classic.

I love Raymond Weil and agree you get a beautiful watch for your money. I got a Raymond Weil 10 years ago (I wanted a Cartier but it was a bit speedy for me at that time) and I still wear it all the time. Actually these days I wear my Fitbit mostly, but for a "real" watch I wear my RW.

Spendy not speedy! It told time just fine :)
