Do all black skinnies look like leggings?

I really want a pair that look like jeans, i.e. visible stitching and a bit of stretch but not so much that my shape wins the battle against them. I have tried the much loved Topshop Jamies and I look like I might as well be in a pair of Sainsburys black leggings.
Any suggestions?

And, the moment you've been waiting for (drum roll)...

After trying the Next ones, Zara, River Island, H&M, the conclusion is that it must be me that makes all black skinnies look like leggings. And the correct answer was I needed 'slim' not skinny.

I ended up back in M&S and got a pair of their relaxed slim, sizing down as they were a bit toooo relaxed. They're not my holy grail but the best I can find for the moment.

Oh and I walked past Levis shop but didn't have the courage to go in as there were no customers but 3 young and trendy lads serving. I was imagining their faces as mid-fifties me walked in, and someone pointing me in the direction of Damart.

Next relaxed skinniest are very nice too, although you would need to size then down
