Skin care for 11 yr old

She gets clusters of sore, red dots around her nostril and upper lip then some tiny blackheads on her
Nose although these are barely noticeable.

The clusters aren't raised though, so
Not spots as such. She uses clearasil pads but I'm wondering if they're too harsh on her skin.

Advice please! She hasn't started her periods yet so doesn't really have greasy skin. She's pale and has freckles and the red on her skin makes her feel very self conscious.

Think they're too harsh. The red dots could be skin reacting, to them. They work by exfoliating the area. I remember having a really nasty reaction to similar treatment at around 13, skin still sensitive/easily reactive 20 years later. If she doesn't actually have greasy/spotty skin yet perhaps just a gentle face wash e.g. boot's tea tree range would be enough? With a dab of the spot stick on any spots. Range is quite often on offer. Leaving the clearsil for heavy duty work in future?

Someone recommended the Sam Farmer range for my 11yr old DS which is unisex and not harsh. It's available from larger Superdrug stores I think. I haven't bought it yet though.

Cetaphil cleanser is a hit with my teenagers. Both have used it from starting puberty. They have tried other makes but found them drying. Ds really like the Sam Farmer moisturiser though.

This is great everyone - thanks.
Boots have mini tee tea wash range on 3 for 2 yesterday so we're trying that out. Failing that, we'll give the others a go.

Would you recommend that she moisturises Day and
Night? SPF?

A tea tree spot stick might help. I try to encourage my 10 year old to regularly cleanse & moisturise. (She is forgetful though) We've tried Simple cleansing wipes and Simple moisturiser. Also a more expensive Burts Bees blemish control moisturiser. She occasionally does a clay based face mask followed by moisturiser. Still the odd tiny spot around her nose....

This Neutrogena is the best thing ever and I use and recommended it endlessly. It is a good bha that will sort out her blackheads
Use Olay sensitive dry washcloths prior to the neutrogena...just wet, wash face - not scrub, rinse with Luke warm water and pat dry
Give it 2-3 weeks all will be good with the world

I've got adult acne and recipe started using The Body Shop's range. Surprisingly good, and not too harsh or drying. I'd give that a go.
