I am going to be presenting some awards at a ceremony in a few weeks. I will be on stage for most of the event - often sitting but then standing when presenting. It is usual for those presenting to wear cocktail dresses. I have a dress (navy lace) which I usually wear with nude tights and nude shoes. However, when I sit down my knees are quite bulbous and as I will be on stage they will be at eye level for the audience. I don't want to look too frumpy but think I would feel more comfortable in opaque tights. If I get opaque then my nude shoes will look silly. Will navy tights look wrong? If not what colour shoes would go with them? What combination would you go for?
