Primark make up recommendations anyone?

Hendersonsisnotrelish · 30/08/2017 22:18

As the title says... anyone got any recommendations for primark make up? I have heard some good things and trying to look more polished without breaking the bank.

I need a new mascara, is it worth trying or should I stick to my trusted L'Oréal?

Any must haves?

I tried a Primark mascara, was initially impressed, but as the day wore on, it sort of flaked and crumbled off my lashes. So I went back to my trusty Max Factor Masterpiece Max. Got some good lipsticks & liners from Primark, and if i use a thick top gel top cost, the nail varnishes aren't bad.

Boots Seventeen Doll'd Up is an excellent. I'd get mascara.

Excellent budget mascara

The silver iconic mascara is by far my favourite mascara!

Their lip range is good.

I also have one of their cheap foundations for every day wear and can't fault it. Think it was £2.50?

Their highlighting pallet is also lovely. For the price you can't really go wrong!

Mixed reviews on the mascara so far then. I'll prob give it a go if cheap enough to discard if rubbish.

I'm thinking of work make up so don't really do lips for work.

What do I do with highlighter?

Thanks for the responses Smile

I'd definitely try the silver one. It is great lengthening the lashes.

Highlighter is like a shimmery powder which you use on the high points of your face, like cheekbones. When your skin catches the light it looks like you have a natural healthy glow. Careful not to overdo it though as you may end up a glittery mess. as I did

The double-ended concealer brushes with the metallic handles are AMAZING for applying eyeshadow. Really good, soft bristles that pick up a lot of product, and the 2-in-1 design means that you can do a smoky eye with just the one brush.

All sounds promising, I'm making a list. Thank you

I rather liked the foundation - a liquid in a clear bottle. I think it is matte but it is not chalky. The lip crayons are great too!

MaryLennoxsScowl · 31/08/2017 19:07

I got a nice nude eyeshadow palette there, it was about £1.50 and perfectly decent.

Amee1992x · 31/08/2017 19:08

Love there highlighters!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/08/2017 19:08

I love the matte lipstick crayon in Mushroom- the most beautiful pinky neutral colour and not drying at all.

I went earlier and decided on the highlighter and mascara. The place was full of teenagers having a nice time so couldn't be bothered fighting through to look at anything that required chiding colours but will remember your suggestions!
Looking forward to trying out what I got thanks all

Another vote for their foundation.

Their nail varnishes are pretty good too
