Want eyebrow tint but it never looks right, help!

I've had my eyebrows tinted a few times but it always looks too dark. I've tried a few different places and always say I don't want them too dark but they still turn out too dark!

My natural hair colour is dark brown but I have alot of highlights so it's more of a light brown. I just want my brows to look groomed and defines but natural.
Just had them done again today, another new place and she said she would use light brown but they're still too dark and look awful!

What do I need to ask for? Surely there must be lots of people who do my want heavy looking dark brown eyebrow slugs?!

I struggle with this (am dark blonde and so are my brows)
I go to the eyebrow stall in my local shopping centre - the threading is always fab but the tint is a bit hit and miss. Its best when the tint is left on for literally only 60-90 seconds. Any longer and i look so odd..
Washing up liquid helps to lighten them i find if they've been tinted too dark.

I've given up on tints to be honest. Far too dark initially, perfect for about 48 hours and then fades to nothing. I just stick to gimme brow now.

That's where I went today! As you say, great thread job but she left the tint on longer than 60-90 secs.

It's expensive for what it is, but it lasts me about 9 months of almost daily use. I fluff them up with the wand against the direction of growth, then brush them back into position. www.benefitcosmetics.com/uk/en-gb/product/gimme-brow-new

I have mine tinted and I'm a dark/mid blond. They literally put it on and then take it off - no more than 20-30 seconds per brow and it's perfect. I go to the Blink counter in Selfridges although it's a bit pricey.

Oh gosh I wonder why she left mine on so long!
