Ankle boots already

It's a bit early, but in this autumnal weather my thoughts are turning to ankle boots.

Here, just for starters, are two pairs that caught my eye (I want flat styles only):

I just prefer the second pair, aesthetically, plus I also find FitFlops' last comfortable. I haven't started looking for boots yet, as the sun is still out intermittently. Whatever I choose will probably have a small (2 in) heel rather than being quite so flat.
