Navy leather long boots - do they actually exist??

I don't wear black which is fine for pretty much every clothing and shoe item (as alternatives can be found) apart from long leather boots.

I have a lovely pair of long tan leather boots and a short pair of navy suede boots. But I absolutely crave a lovely pair of long navy boots - and can I find them anywhere.....?

Black leather yes, tan leather yes, but when it comes to navy all the boots I can find are suede.

Is there something about the dying process than makes it difficult to make navy leather or is there something about shoemakers that makes them think that people who want navy want suede for some reason??

I did see one pair in Moshulu but the just weren't quite long enough as they came to mid calf rather than full length.

Am I destined to be disappointed???

Fair fax and Favor also Ted and Muffy both do Navy long boots and a variety of styles.

ooh the Boden ones are lovely blodynmawr - just what I'm looking for but unfortunately even my relatively small feet won't fit into those - but even full price they'd be in budget so I'll def keep an eye out there (never thought of Boden for shoes before).

the fly ones are a bit casual as I'd like to wear for work too

I've never heard of those brands nearlyadoctor so will check them out.

Ted and muffy make their Huntsmen boots in navy leather

They are gorgeous but over £200. Although they do offer a range of calf sizes so fit is very good. A long term investment

Hi, I'm sure I saw some beautiful ones on QVC once, it was quite a while ago and the presenters were all saying they were buying them as long navy boots are so hard to find, from memory I'm almost certain they were Clarks

Bluesheep Clarks did have when I looked but they were suede/leather hybrid.

Loving the Gabor ones but they only come in a 4 and I'm a 5 - am going to scour the internet to see if I can find those somewhere else though.

BluebellGal - £200 is probably more than I'm willing to pay - £150 is my max (and even then I find it hard to justify). You can get black boots in all price ranges which makes it even more galling.

Where did you get your tan long leather boots from, OP?

I'm desperately searching for a pair, and can I find any? The only ones I've found are from Dune, and they're not doing them in my size (41).

Can't find the Gabor ones anywhere else but just went onto Boden again and they do have 38s so I've ordered those - what a bargain at £60 when the original price was £150. Just hope they fit.

MumBod - they were from Clarks - bought in the sale 2 years ago but I've come across some when I've been looking for navy ones so they are out there

I have a few pairs of their boots.

If the Boden boots fit they will last for ages, I have 2 pairs of (brown) Boden knee high boots, one of which is 15 years old. Been resoled a few times but still looks good.

Whatthefox - the Clarks ones I linked are low heel.

Like the clarks Invisible, but they are suede. Going to order the Gabor ones and see if I like, thanks Amber!
