I was looking for a sensible, durable and practical option... but now I have seen this I desperately need it.

It is a lot of money for a suitcase, but I love it so much. Will it be a complete liability and get my luggage pinched?

I do have some birthday vouchers that would bring it down to normal suitcase price, so the frivol element could be the birthday present.

They do it in black too which is maybe more grownup?

(I'm rather hoping that the lovely people that hang out on S&B will be more sympathetic to my frippery and less inclined to flame me than if I posted elsewhere...)

It's distinctive but I am all for bland and boring when I travel. Don't want to look like I have anything worth to steal.

Buy a great bag for same money instead. Sorry, can't enable in this case.

PNGirl · 30/08/2017 12:21

Plastic cases are terrible. They crack within 3 trips. Don't do it!

ShowPineapple · 30/08/2017 12:29

Have you seen the way baggage handlers throw cases around? Don't get it OP, you'll be gutted when you collect it off the carousel and it's damaged.

Leilaniii · 30/08/2017 12:31

Oh my goodness, that is beautiful! Yes, of course you should buy it!

Orangebird69 · 30/08/2017 12:34

Its hideous. Don't do it.

theredjellybean · 30/08/2017 12:35

As much as I love it... Agree it will get filthy.
But why shouldn't we have pretty luggage?
Why should we have sensible black....
I'd ring Ted Baker or jl and ask if it is cleanable?

Chewiecat · 30/08/2017 12:43

Eek I find it really ugly, sorry!

Ifonlyiweretaller · 30/08/2017 18:10

I bought a couple of Biba ones at vast expense because i thought they were really stylish for long haul holiday. Although they are pretty robust, they are also scuffed to death and have not looked good since their first journey! So I will never buy a case purely for its looks ever again!

Nanodust · 30/08/2017 19:40

Will get covered in marks and used occasionally don't do it 😜 Do also bare in mind may appear in TK Maxx next season as a lot may be left over as it is definitely an impulse buy.

Selfridges have a great say lost Xmas too. I got a Longchamp suitcase from £265 down to £95..... just saying......

Nanodust · 30/08/2017 19:41

-great sale post Xmas- my predictive text is my downfall

paq · 30/08/2017 19:43

Only buy it if you can survive the disappointment of it being scuffed, damaged and dirtied every time you leave the house.

Or pay for one of those cling film services at the airport.

Crumblevision · 30/08/2017 19:48

I think you would be crackers to pay £265 for that, regardless of vouchers/money combo. It will get wrecked very quickly.

Ktown · 30/08/2017 19:52

Just no.
You cannot look chic dragging a sugar pink cherry blossom anything around.

Ttbb · 30/08/2017 19:53

The oh k one looks like it was designed by a twelve year old. I actually quite like the black one but not as much as I like grown up luggage. Just buy sonething sensible for gods sake.

livefrommysofa · 30/08/2017 20:35

Sorry, but I think it looks cheap. Reminds me of the cheap wash bags etc you get free at Christmas with ted baker toiletry sets!!
