Is glamorous an old fashioned or boring look?

I am going through a bit of a style crisis at the moment. I am 40+

However, when I can be bothered I have had quite a few comments that I look "glamorous". I don't know why people say that but it has come up quite a few times over the years. I don't wear loads of makeup, nor do I wear jewellery so I am not glamorous in a Bett Lynch or Joan Collins kind of way Grin At best I will do my hair (long and brown) and put a bit of makeup on. Clothes wise it is jeans and boots and a casual top.

The reason I am asking is I am having a bit of a style and fashion crisis. I loosely follow the seasons and fashion but then tell myself I should just dress how I want to which isn't necessarily following the latest styles. I know what colours suit me and it may not be this seasons colours. When a few people have mentioned I look glamorous that day, I often think that this is a bit of an old fashioned thing.

I am trying to find a style, a corner that I can be comfortable in and stop looking at what other people are wearing and buying clothes from the shops that are the flavour of the month.

Is glamorous an old fashioned, sad state of dress or if the hat fits I should just wear it?

You're over thinking it. It's a compliment, honestly.
