Haven't worn heels for a long time so they'll need to be comfortable. Need them for Saturday and have access to New Look, Next, M&S and all the big supermarkets. Tia.

Missing the dress! Smile

Rainatnight · 27/08/2017 19:00

Ah sorry, cross post. And now I've seen the dress, I have nothing helpful to offer because I've not worn anything glam in years.

Ttbb · 27/08/2017 19:01

Nude

bonfireheart · 27/08/2017 19:01

Why not copy what she's wearing in the pic? They look lovely with the dress.

NaiceToMeetYou · 27/08/2017 19:02

Just found these but are they too busy? www.newlook.com/uk/womens/footwear/shoes/wide-fit-blue-brocade-heeled-sandals/p/534229349?comp=Browse

Or these?

ElfrideSwancourt · 27/08/2017 19:20

Gorgeous dress and shoes but too busy together- I'd go with plain gold or nude sandals.

NaiceToMeetYou · 27/08/2017 19:24

I'm looking for nude/gold now but they all look so high.

New look will sort you out. I like these but they have a few that would work

They're nice violicorn but the mumsnet massive would hunt me down as they have a kitten heel ShockWink

NaiceToMeetYou · 27/08/2017 19:37

these are still low without being a kitten I think?

Oh I love that dress, where's it from?
I'd go with something simple. Sandals in a metallic colour.

NaiceToMeetYou · 27/08/2017 19:50

It's from oasis Summer Smile

That model must be over 6 feet btw because I'm 5'8" and the sides of the dress trail the ground.

Ah good point! I don't much like the ones you linked, a bit too weddingy for me...

Like these though - and a relatively low but chunky heel is easier to walk in. Plus they're wide fit - my feet aren't wide at all but I find new look heeled sandals twice as comfy if they're the wide ones because your feet have space to swell a bit from walking about

That last pair are described as a 3.6 inch heel though, I really wouldn't call that low!

Paintbox · 27/08/2017 19:54

Sorry I meant the last pair the op linked to

NaiceToMeetYou · 27/08/2017 19:55

They're lovely. Friend just sent me this which I like too.

You're right Paint, they don't look that high!

OP posts:
foodiefil · 27/08/2017 19:57

Don't like your first new look link but like your second and third.

I think you need nude or navy and quite high. Think swish not slosh. You'd slosh in a low heel. Go as high as you comfortably can.

What about a wedge?

Paintbox · 27/08/2017 20:00

I second the pp who said that a block heel is easier to walk in and more comfortable, even if it is high

Paintbox · 27/08/2017 20:01

Wedges imo always look a bit casual for a dress like that but that is just my opinion

NaiceToMeetYou · 27/08/2017 20:05

I think a wedge would look clunky with the hemline. Did I mention I have clown feet Sad size 8. My friend's suggestion although lovely are too high.

I'm size 8 and have just bought these LOVE this from ASOS!
