Gap bi-stretch skinny trousers

Does anyone have these and can tell me what the sizing is like? And do they suit hourglass shapes or just skinny straight up and down? I am looking for something a little smarter than the m&s jeggings l normally wear to work with a blouse as have put on a little weight and don't feel so confident in them anymore.
I am hourglass shape with very large arse/hips but small waist. Currently size 12 though verging more on a 14 at the minute Sad working on this but until then would like trousers l can wear with brogues etc. I am thinking of buying a 14 but not sure whether to go for petite or regular, I am 5ft 4, usually take a regular in m&s jeggings but a short elsewhere.

Would go to the shop to try on but last time l went to my local store I couldnt find them, the shop was a mess and the sales assistants hounded me to offer "help"

They're my favourite trousers and get lots of compliments.

I'm very hourglassy - 25" waist, 37" hips - and quite petite. Usually find trousers impossible to get right. I usually need a 10 but these fit perfectly in a 8.

Buy them!

I'm 5 ft 4 and have the regular length. They're pretty true to size so I'd go with a 14.

Thank you TheOne and Bombardier that's really helpful. Do you find they hold their shape ok? I bought a similar pair from oasis last week which felt nice and fitted in the morning and by the end of the day the knees and arse had went so baggy l looked like a sack of potatoes Hmm

Will you report back if you get some please upsydaisy?
Have been thinking of getting some for a while but like you not sure about fit.
This is despite me slagging off gap on another thread!!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/08/2017 15:45

I've only got one pair, but definitely want more. They don't go baggy at all. I'm a 12/14 and needed the 14.

JDSTER · 27/08/2017 15:45

I tried these after all the recommendations on here but I didnt find them flattering at all and sent them back. I can't remember exactly what was wrong with them but they just weren't right. I'm not an hourglass shape btw so maybe they are better for that shape. I like Boden for a slim fit/skinny trousers

CaseStudyResearch · 27/08/2017 15:47

I'm an hourglass (about 11 inch difference between waist and hips) and find them alright. Not the most flattering, but do an ok job. I'd go for the 14.

The best trousers that I've found for hourglass are Zara and Warehouse.

TheOneWhoKnocks · 27/08/2017 20:01

Mine hold their shape very well throughout the day. If they stretch at all (e.g. knees from lots of kneeling), they always ping back after a wash or a quick mist-and-iron job.

Paintbox · 27/08/2017 20:02

I have some and they do hold their shape well. I have reasonably large hips although slim and I don't think they're hugely flattering on me to be honest

spinduffy · 27/08/2017 20:04

I have them and they hold the shape well, but I've found the colour has faded with washing.

SorrelForbes · 27/08/2017 20:31

I have some and they're OK. I prefer the Banana Republic Sloan trousers though.

Stellato · 27/08/2017 20:39

They are incredibly unflattering on cellulite, but they do hold their shape. They had a curve version last time I was in a gap store, but I'm fairly pear shaped and the non-curve ones are fine (now that my baby weight has receded and the cellulite along with it!).

CountFosco · 27/08/2017 22:04

I really like the high rise version. I'm 5'2" and find the normal petite bi stretch (with the 25" leg) too short whereas the high rise with a 26.5" leg) is a perfect ankle skimmin length. So I'd say look at the leg lengths but I'd assume at 5'4" you'll be a regular.
