Maternity clothes help!!

Spinningpenny · 27/08/2017 12:25

I really need to buy some maternity clothes but I can't find anything I like.

I feel fat and horrible Sad, I'm only 17 weeks but pretty big already so nothing fits me anymore. I've also put on weight generally (due to carb scoffing to stop sickness)

Where can I get some nice bits that aren't ridiculously expensive?

I bought most of my maternity clothes from H&M and Peacocks.

I went to primark and bought a few tshirts and leggings a few sizes up.

Same with dresses from charity shops.

A couple of maternity trousers and tops from next for work.

EBay is your friend. I got all of my maternity clothes from eBay. I found such a huge variety and some really expensive brands too, really cheaply and as you don't wear it for long if was all good quality.

I liked New Look and Asos

I got bits from new look, h and m and next, and lots of non maternity floaty tops.

Another vote for New Look - i've not bought much yet but had good stuff from there!

Red herring at Debenhams has a pretty decent range usually too. If you're planning to breastfeed it might be worth looking at nursing clothing as they double up as maternity as well so you only have to shell out once

I got some basic T shirts and a twin pack of leggings from Asda- affordable and they've washed really well. Just the one pair of jeans from mothercare and they've lasted nicely, though feel a bit snug now (38w).
Dorothy Perkins have a sale on mat dresses at moment and I can vouch for their comfort- the basic maxis don't look like maternity, theyre just accommodating!
As others have said eBay is good, not sure if this is allowed but there's a seller/shop called maternity-maternity that's good quality second hand if you don't want to spend a lot!
Hope that helps!

I bought bits from Mothercare, H&M, The Essential One sale & ASOS. Frugi have some nice looking dresses & I've seen more maternity clothes on La Redoute/Vertbaudet/Mamas & Papas recently
