Shall I go shorter?

Me.. nearly 50. About to go travelling. Hair..brown and grey streaks (natural as I gave up the dye 2 years ago)
It's naturally quite wavy and puffy..and hates humidity. I am taking my straighteners but am not sure if the voltage where I am travelling will be up to the job! I just did a week camping and looked like a mushroom half the time!

I quite fancy a fringe again.. and shorter but don't want old lady hair!
This is me now, and a couple of pics I like..I'd just like it not hanging round my face. Any other suggestions welcomed!!

A heavy fringe will most likely end up a right pain when travelling as they need trimming. I think you can certainly go shorter though. With a long side fringe (or whatever they are called) as a fringe compromise

Oh I mean a side fringe like in picture 2

I think a long fringe stops it being dated and YES you can definitely carry it off! Update please when you've had it doneSmile

I think a length half between what you have now, and the photos will be perfect. You can always pin the front bits back if you need to and let it dry naturally (your hair type sounds similar to mine - try bumble and bumble air dry!).
Too short and it will need cutting every 4 weeks - will this be possible while you're travelling?
Have fun!

You have a lovely face and I think you could pull anything off tbh.
